Russell Brand just announced his next show at Parkhurst. Long tour which may last five years at least.

Never liked always came across as a tosser. Annoying how he raped his first victim way back in 1999 and since then he's been in the public eye growing his reputation.

"Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the US will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions," it said in a statement.

Real damage being done now.

Oil prices are slumping, and it looks as though interest rates will decline too. Trump's real plan?

If inflation rises then the fed will struggle to bring those down

What does the US currently buy from Russia?

I think this is the point

It should be nothing

Still roughly 3 billion worth of goods last year, apparently. Not sure what specifically.

Interesting

huge imbalance in favour of Russia which would put their tariff not far off 50%

but you’d assume whatever it is being imported is vital to USA and therefore they dont want to inflate its cost

Likely so. However, that hasn't stopped the tariffs against other nations with (presumably) equally vital imports.

I'm just going to apply Occams Razor here and go with the simplest explanation: that this current US administration considers the current Russian regime at least a potential friendly and an example to follow.

US treasury secretary blames DeepSeek AI for market declinepublished at 13:19

The US market may have dropped sharply last week, but for US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Trump's tariff policies aren't necessarily to blame.

“For everyone who thinks these market declines are all based on the President's economic policies, I can tell you that this market decline started with the Chinese AI announcement of DeepSeek,” Bessent said in an interview with Tucker Carlson posted on Friday.

DeepSeek, a rival to models like ChatGPT, launched its latest version in January. Bessent implied it's behind the drop in major US tech stocks, often called the Magnificent 7.

“I'd say it's more a Mag 7 problem, not a MAGA problem,” he told Carlson.

Never apologise.

Never explain.

Never admit fault.
