Still a load stronger than when they went up the year before.

Both Ipswich and Southampton will be better versions of themselves imo.

For those that dont know I'm an Ipswich supporter.

Town have had to let go Delap for £30m and may lose Hutch for £40m+ which gives them a bit of lee way for signings.

However the popular Morsy and 4 others have left and we have not had a lot in. Broadhead may go too. Over priced by Wrexham.

But that stil leaves a better team than we came up with last time.

I'm looking forward to the season.

COYB.

Cajuste has signed for Ipswich. He's probably up there with the best players in the league and massively strengthens their midfield. Question marks over fitness though?

Back to Leicester, still think the lowest we will finish is 4th no matter what points deduction we get, I'd take our squad over Ipswich or Saints even with the glaring weakness of striker.

2nd tier podcast had us 7th without a points deduction wtf.

Their prediction actually means we’re more likely to finish in the playoffs because all they do is slate us

Prem teams are after Leif Davis

Would be a massive loss for them as their backup Townsend is now also out for likely the whole season

Birdshit mouth

Ashley Young can play there

Just checked the stats on Vardy and KDH in our last Championship season. Vardy scored 18, KDH scored 12 and assisted 14.  Not sure where those missing goals are coming from this season. Starting to worry, please tell me everything will be ok. :dunno:

Yeah - stop worrying! This time we have Soumaré so, if things go as per usual, that's - errr -  0 goals and, um, let me see, 0 assists. Oh, sh*te!!!

Be nice if the window shut earlier and you couldn’t lose 2 or 3 players a few days entire the first game of the season. I know it’s the same for everyone and we expected players to leave just be nice to get stuff done and sorted so you know what your squad is as a soon as the season starts

It's probably good that the pundits expectations for Leicester aren't that high as it takes the spotlight off of us,  for a short time at least. It's well and truly shining on Birmingham at present - TalkSport can't praise them enough.

As well as the ownership, Do you think the Birmingham 'Expectation' also comes from what Ipswich did?

Because in terms of their players, I just don't see it. I think with Kyogo and Stansfield, they can always grab you a goal from nothing, but I don't see a lot else in their side. Especially defensively, I don't see how it's any different to when they were relegated. The likes of Laird/Buchanan/Bielik are all still there.

Put it this way, if that level of squad are around the top 6 come the end of the Season, then it's great news for us.

Exactly my thoughts on Birmingham. The bluenose I know cites the cup game they played against Newcastle ressies. He said Blues were going 100% and Newcastle reserves just kept turning it on when they need too. He thinks the midfield is very lightweight and the defence isn't that strong.

For some reason hope Birmingham beat Ipswich.

Yeah, I agree.

Ive got some completely unnecessary dislike for Ipswich and I still cant pin point why.

I think its the frustration with how spawny they were in the promotion season. All the red cards they got away with, all the deflected goals and added time goals.

Probably Ed Sheeran too.....

But equally, I quite like what Birmingham are putting together this season. Giving it a real go by the looks of it.

Hoping for Birmingham but thinking Ipswich will be too much for them.

Forget that Ipswich still have the likes of Szmodics who blitzed the league even in a, at the time, very poor Blackburn team.

Agreed. We have the best defence and attack (if we keep BEK although unlikely)

Have Saints and Ipswich strengthened much? As absolute crap we were last year, we were still on a different level to these 2 when we played them. RVN even won.

Didn't realise Leicester reject Cedric Kipre is on loan at Championship Galaticos Ipswich Town.

Kipre is good tbh, if not for all the options we actually have I think he'll be good for them!
