Soon as I saw mcateer waiting to come on instead of monga, I switched off

Absolutely. We've seen Mcateer last year and this and it's clearly obvious that he's not good enough for us in either division, so why waste a squad place?  If someone at the club still thinks he is then why didn't we just loan him out to Sunderland both for experience and game time?

Cooper actually gave 20 mins+ to Popov and Alves in the first cup game against Tranmere once we were 3-0 up

Golding and Alves were also on the bench against Walsall but didn't get a go because it went all the way to penalties

Alves also got 20 mins+ against Man Utd when it was clear the game was gone from us

At least Cooper was including them in the match squad and seemingly willing to bring them on if the situation was good for it

Ruud completely ignored youth against QPR so when we were cruising there wasn't one to sub on and lets be honest even though he was on the bench there was no chance Monga was getting on the pitch against Man Utd no matter what the score

but cooper was solely down to recruiting and resembling the cast of dad's bloody army!!!

Because the managers we've had don't trust them basically. Too worried they'll make mistakes so they opt for experience. There's always a balance to be had but I think we should definitely be giving more opportunities to younger players

Looks like we are going down so let’s build a team for next season we’ve got some good young players

This is what Sheffield Utd did and it has certainly helped them so far, it's not as if the likes of Ayew, Vestergaard, Coady, Winks etc are showing any form of leadership and end product anyway.

Problem we have is the message from Top is we need to stay up. Yet they didn’t invest, and allowed players to leave…… whilst the delusion infects our top board, managers will continue to ignore the academy. Monga is destined to clear off at the end of the season, I get he still does PE and probably wear plimmies more than football boots, but he really should be given some minutes.

Like others have said, we’re going down… so let’s blood some academy players and focus on rebuilding….. such is the delusion of this football club, that won’t happen.

Couldn’t do any worse than the rubbish we’re  playing week in week out

I’m in my 50s now and this is easily one of of the most unenjoyable  seasons ever

We will need these youngsters in the Championship, get them blooded now, 30 mins here 45 there, it will allow us to shift the crap, dont give a shit, deadwood cant be arsed, half hearted, over paid players we have now.

We really do need to look to the Championship rebuild next season the crap we have to put up with week in week out why not give us a bit more of a match by using players young and hungry for the Foxes.

I’d much rather us play young talent over the likes of Ayew and BDR.

Top needs to realise for us to stay up this season is going to take a monumental Wolves collapse, and a sudden upturn in form from us. Neither of which will happen. So, we may as well accept the fact we’ve ****ed it this season, and get some youngsters in. At least they will be fearless and go for it, and you never know might be the start of a golden generation and lead to something special……….

Our home produced younger players are the future

its clear with the rule breaking greedy 6 will consistently get away with everything you just know the authorities will fvck us up the arse for any slight breach

if we make use of the fantastic facilities at one foot in the Seagrave we could perhaps find a way forward of producing much more of our own talent going forwards

if only we had a manager that might play them occasionally. . . .

It's funny on here at times.  Everyone is saying "they can't be any worse the Ayew or BDCR"... yet also hate our own home grown talent in Hamza and Luke Thomas and McAteer.

RVN has the U18's and U21's training with the first team, if anyone was standing out above and beyond the first team squad, then he would play them.

They are young and developing. Training with the first team will really help that development. Just dont expect the youngsters to solve all of our problems.

There are hundreds of examples of youngsters breaking through and failing to reach the standard.  Remember the saviour of west ham Freddy sears??

The first thing people say when the youngsters don't perform is 'i don't know what manager xxx is seeing in player yyy'. Even Jakub was getting pelters after his first few PL games (wrongly IMHO).  Nyoni today didnt look any good against a bottom of the championship team, so there is nothing to suggest if he stayed with us he would be ripping it up in the PL. Alves had a nice cameo yesterday but again nothing to suggest he is ready for start after start in the PL.  They are developing and may never hit the big time.

Trey Nyoni starts for Liverpool against Plymouth

This post aged like milk. They lost and he got took off at half time.

In an ideal world it would be great to have youngsters come in and they be automatically up to the level required. This isn’t an ideal world. You could destroy their confidence if you put them into a struggling side too early.

Play the youngsters, they can't be much worse.

And if they are, i can slate them even more because they are kids from the Academy!

He came off after 76 minutes.

Does this mean Jota, Diaz, Chiesa, Endo and Gomez aren't up to the required level?

May not trust em ,but I don't  trust the so called  experienced players that fvck up time after time ,season after season ,things need to change .I'm  old enough  to remember the last manager to do this ,Jock Wallace ,what I'd  give for a manager like him to come in .

Ha. Are you saying he’s the same level as them despite what they’ve achieved?

Definitely not lol But singling out one guy as the cause for the loss is equally mental to that suggestion.

If you claim you didn't do the above then I'm not sure what your point was :D
