No, me too except whilst I think it’s better than Cooper I wouldn’t say much better.

We just can’t keep focused for all the 90 minutes plus injury time. You can hear his frustration at that after every game.

I think people are right about yesterday in that he should have brought subs on earlier - I believe there was a better chance of a draw if he had.

I like him. I think we look much better ( than under Cooper), and we do look better organised….. but…….

Poorer results and stats tell a different story. Ruud’s selections are even more baffling than Coopers!

Unfortunately, we are down. Losing at home to Wolves, and picking up just one point against Everton this season means we’re doomed

Yes.

We’re the worst team in the league right now, including Southampton. I’m looking for what we’re doing to prep for next season and I’m honestly glad we haven’t spaffed millions on trash in January in a vain attempt to prevent the inevitable.

The whole club needs a change of approach and I’m hoping the saving of money in January is a recognition of that.

No, i think it's so difficult to judge a manager, when he's been dealt the hand ruud has. That was really close against Arsenal, BDCR or Ndidi convert and it might have been different, you can't help but think a couple of additions would have done us the world of good, he's trying to get blood out of a stone.

Yeah, Wolves are the only team who we can catch and they're much better than us.

I accepted relegation after the Palace and Fulham home games. It's not worth stressing about but I'd like to show some fight and pride. TBF performances have improved the last two games, but it's still nowhere near good enough.

I've got us down for 5 points from the remaining games - giving us a grand total of 22 points. ****ing hell.

Brentford (h) - draw

West Ham (a) - loss

Chelsea (a) - loss

Man U (h) - loss

Man C (a) - loss

Newcastle (h) - loss

Brighton (a) - loss

Liverpool (h) - loss

Wolves (a) - loss

Southampton (h) - win

Forest (a) - loss

Ipswich (h) - draw

Bournemouth (a) - loss

Yep - we’re down.

To be honest when I look at the starting eleven and the subs bench, I just can’t enthuse myself with any optimism anymore.

Oddly Wolves haven’t managed to pull away from the bottom 3 yet, but it’s surely only a matter of time before they do.

No.Likely, but not inevitable. 32-33 points might cut it and with some blind luck and even a bit of form, that’s not completely unachievable.

It was obvious to me when we were getting praised in games we were losing. Nobody plays especially badly but losing is just the standard.

Thanks for the pep talk guys.  Inspiring stuff. Please don't renew your season tickets, not that probably any of you losers ever watch a live game. Stay at home. We don't  need your "support "

Back the lads

This will be my 9th relegation and it's as sure as eggs are eggs

The powers that be should already be talking to the Championship ensuring as soft a landing as possible.

They should also be changing strategy by bringing in and bringing through young talent to the squad for next season

er yeah probably.

The mans a complete imbecile doing the same thing and expecting different results. No in game management, no backroom staff etc etc.

It's like being managed by one of those idiot pundits - No better than Neville or Carragher

No, as I said in a separate thread, the main difference between Cooper's reign and Ruud's is that the team overall has a much better structure now. As a result, we are producing far better passing patterns through midfield and conceding far fewer shots than under Cooper. The problem is that Ruud is topping that structure off with our oldest, slowest players so we look totally toothless going forward and can't really press opposition defenders (apart from BEK running himself into the ground doing the work of the 3 forwards in front of him). And we still have the same players at the back making individual errors game after game, so we are continuing to leak goals.

Of course, I can see why people say it's not all over as we are only 2 points from safety but it's hard not to see Wolves pulling away from us. They've had another really tough set of fixtures since Xmas, but looking ahead, after Saturday, they have a much more favourable run in than us. Plus, they made several signings in January to address weaknesses, which we weren't able to do, and have one of the most in-form strikers in the league. There is no way that we would go to Anfield and have a second half performance like theirs yesterday.

Whilst it's mathematically possible there has to be a glimmer of hope. Stranger things have happened. Need to scrape a result very quickly somehow. Beat Brentford for starters.

I thought it was inevitable but after Saturday’s game Joe Cole was saying on the telly that he’d seen enough from us to convince him we can stay up. And who are any of us to argue with Joe Cole?!

Posted

Yeah it's inevitable for me. Unable to score goals and unable to keep them out.

Wolves have Cunha, Ipswich have Delap, and we have well... Ayew, Vardy and Bobby Reid. Cheers Steve Cooper!
