It was pretty clear to everyone before the window that if we were going to have a realistic chance, we needed to strengthen. We haven’t done it and the squad is badly lacking. Top and Ruud can talk about believing in the squad as much as they like but it’s proved time and time again, it just ain’t at the level. It’s the moments where you need to be switched on and we constantly switch off. Saturday the perfect example.

Quite simply not good enough for this level individually or as a collective - from the ownership structure to the manager and then the players on the park - I didn’t see a team not trying again on Saturday- they put a shift in but just quite simply are not good enough - all 17 teams of previous prem level are better teams than us - iv found a weird peace with it all - we are back to 20 years ago - good in the championship but not quite good enough for this level - I’ll always love and support Leicester because it’s my club - it’s been a truly mental 15 years - I may get some stick for this but I’m grateful we’ve had what we’ve had - being a football fan is fickle in the most - I think the chairman and board and Rudkin have made loads of mistakes just like the rest of you and I also think 80% of the squad or more aren’t good enough - the rest of this season is going to be very painful because we all love our team and losing well and truly sucks - but we will all be back at it next year - hoping for better management and better players and new owners - winning some games in the championship and dreaming all over again that maybe just maybe we can have another golden period as soon as possible - this club always and will forever be about us and that love no matter who owns, manages or plays for it

Thanks for the pep talk guys.  Inspiring stuff. Please don't renew your season tickets, not that probably any of you losers ever watch a live game. Stay at home. We don't  need your "support "

People agreeing on how poor we are in this thread won't change our performances come match day. It's just the reality of our situation.

I know fans of any club always say this when their team is crap but I’m absolutely past the point of caring now.

We have lost 9 of the last 10 or something stupid and I genuinely don’t care. There’s no anger left in me anymore.

I just want that feeling of excitement and feeling like we’re actually building for something again whatever league we’re in I don’t care.

It’s not all his fault because the squad is rotten but we have a manager who won’t try anything different. Insanity is doing the same thing etc etc

It’s certainly not inevitable, we’re 2 points from safety with 13 games to play however it is looking very likely.

We cannot downplay how massive this Friday’s game is. Brentford are a very good team but currently are bottom half and are much better at home. We absolutely need to get something. If (and it’s a big if) we manage a win, we’ll be out of the relegation zone going into the weekend fixtures. Don’t get me wrong, I look at Wolves team and they have a lot more quality but you just never know. I thought we were doomed in 14/15 and look what happened

The club basically accepted relegation by keeping the purse strings tightly closed in January.

Miracles do of course happen - and the maddest thing is we are only two points from safety despite a hideously bad season - but by not strengthening an inadequate squad when they had the chance to (particularly prior to the critical Palace-Fulham double header), the club effectively threw in the towel and acknowledged defeat.

If there is one glaring symptom of this club’s demise, it is the fact that a long past-it veteran striker is still starting every Premier League game up front. And, worse still, that there is no credible alternative.

The thing is, are the people giving you a thumbs up like saying, yes - we are playing better or yes - you are the only one :dunno:

Next two are massive for us - an inconsistent Brentford at home and a very average West Ham away.

Losing count of how many times I've looked at our games and thought the next couple could be the turning point for our season. But we're running out of games fast and I haven't seen anything to suggest we'll go on a consistent run of results.

Id understand the doom and gloom if we were Southampton and a lot of points away from safety. But its literally 1 victory and we are out the bottom 3.

Dont get me wrong i know we are terrible and fully expect to get relegated. But to suggest it would be a miracle if we stayed up is a bit far fetched.

What i would give to just win our next 3 games and the others all lose their next 3 and just be done with it lol

Doubtful we'll stay up with our current front three. They work hard on and off the ball but that's just not enough for us to win games. Someone in the squad has to step up and match their effort but add that bit of quality to the side. Mavadidi and Buonanotte are the obvious candidates but so far both have not shown to be worthy of a starting place. Either that or change the bloody system Ruud.

I think we’ve been pretty consistent all season. How many did we lose in a row?

All it takes is one win and all of a sudden everything looks quite different.

Problem is, I just can't see us winning.

We had one win, 2 games back.

The fact gave won 1 and lost 9 of the last 10 and we are still only one win from safety tells you Ipswich and Wolves are equally rancid.

We can still escape, but we need to take the hand break off and attack, trying to keep it tight isn't working.

We probably need to win 4 games and draw a couple, with every game that ticks over that's become more difficult.

Wolves are nowhere near as bad as we are. Gave it a right go yesterday at Liverpool and deserved a draw. Also they have something we don’t; a genuine superstar Cunha, who can score a goal out of nowhere.

Relegation?

We are lacking creativity and can’t score goals. We’ve averaged a goal per game this season, however we look terrible.

We can’t keep a clean sheet, conceding an average of 2.2 goals per game.

We’ve got a head coach that has a philosophy that needs different or better players. Players that were not invested in during the transfer window. At this point I think PSR is a convenient excuse not to spend any money.

Ruud hasn’t set the world on fire by any means. In fact, he’s performing far worse than Cooper was.

We’ve gone from being extremely boring to watch, to being even more boring, to the point that the most exciting thing occurring is supporters kicking off at the board.

Our most promising player in Buonanotte in the early part of the season, has been ostracised by our largely incompetent and out of depth head coach.

We’ve spent a weird amount of money on Oliver Skipp. Bizarrely, that could have signed us some semi competent defenders.

So relegation, it’s inevitable, isn’t it?

In spite of everything, we are 2 points from safety....

But winning once every 7 or 8 games means we have a max 6 points left in us all season (I know it doesn't always work like that) and no team is surviving on anything less than 30 points.

And yet wolves have only 19 points.... so all is not lost.

The way people are talking you would think we were 8 or 10 points from safety.

I thought it was inevitable but after Saturday’s game Joe Cole was saying on the telly that he’d seen enough from us to convince him we can stay up. And who are any of us to argue with Joe Cole?!

That great football aficionado Joe Cole - we can all rest easy then

We’re currently 1/7 best odds to go down. How many here would (say) put half their life savings on for a return of 14%?

Gives a slightly different spin to the concept of inevitable.

It's not inevitable. I think to suggest it is when we are 2 points below them with 13 games left is to misunderstand/ignore of the meaning of the word.

I'm not sure I agree with those who suggest Wolves are so much better than us either. If they really were, surely they'd be on more than 19 points by now..?

That said, I do think we'll go down and have resigned myself to it.

I’d argue that there is no way the bottom 4 are getting to 30 points so it could be a low amount to stay up this year. 28/29 points or something could be enough for 17th.

Not that I think it could be us.

Probably and very much looking like it, but then same could be said about the 2014/15 season.

We need a 2014/15 type miracle but, in retrospect, we didn’t realise what we had in that team until the following season.

I can’t see Faes/Okoli becoming the next Morgan/Huth. Jordan Ayew is a few steps further back in ability than Riyad Mahrez. Vardy was ten years younger. Soumare is unlikely about to turn into Esteban Cambiasso… etc..etc… etc…
