It could happen, if it does it must happen either today or tomorrow. However if its that's the case you would have think they must have someone lined up, i'm not even sure there's anyone to take over in a caretaker role at the moment.

Will he walk or be pushed and will it be now or once we are mathematically down.  Feels destined to be Andy King at some point.

i don’t blame him for quality of the squad but his record is still appalling - i think in PL played 15, 2 wins, 1 draw and 12 defeats.  0.47 points per game.

If he has a vision for the rebuild then at some point he needs to demonstrate some of it.

I would've thought their focus is on ensuring the survival of the King Power business in Thailand. The LCFC managerial plight is most likely well down the order of priority.

Can the regime afford to sack him? I’m not so sure. But I appreciate they may take the view that it is a gamble worth taking if it papers over Rudkin’s gaping crack.

think a Dyche like figure has the best chance of shithousing some points from the tough run of fixtures we have in the next 5-6, and then we’ll need a clean sweep of beating those around us in the final 5 games.

It won't happen. There's no new low for the club to reach so if it was going to happen then it already would have done.

Any new manager we get in now is likely to be desperate and there isn't a coaching set up that could realistically take us through the last 11 games in a caretaker capacity.

We've just got to grin and bear it while the board sit there unchallenged again.

Odds just show that nobody else is that near the exit: Southampton long resigned to the drop, McKenna rated highly and well liked at Ipswich, Postecoglu seen results pick up at Spurs. Amorim will likely get a summer rebuild before his position comes under threat too.

Second in the odds list is "no manager to leave". Battle is whether our ownership shows some fight and have a go, or we just roll over and die.

I wouldn't sack him.

Like Rodgers did he appears to be waiting to be paid off before we are relegated.

Therefore, I'd sack him after we go down. He might buck his ideas up with the prospect of relegation on his CV.

This is the reality. There's no sense in rushing to appoint a new permanent manager now and risk making the same mistake all over again. And, as you say, no caretaker manager is going to save us at this stage.

The best we can hope for is that the penny has finally dropped at the club that we need major change in the summer, including a mass clear-out of the squad, a new director of football and probably a new manager. Frustratingly, it seemed like we were on the brink of making some important changes at Enzo's request before he quit. Unfortunately his departure killed that off and the club just reverted to type, with the result that now we're right back to where we were two years ago...

Even if he bucks his ideas up I don't think he's good enough to keep us up. Relegation will cost us hundreds of millions, sacking Ruud now will cost us single digit millions with the chance of someone coming in and getting a flukey bounce.

I can see it now though, Murphy and King somehow keep us up by the skin of their teeth, get a 3 year deal and we are back down the bottom next season lol

Problem is, we want a Dyche like figure, but without the 3 year deal, if we are going for that type, quite literally the only managers I can think of are Warnock and Big Sam, I'd take either right now sadly (not Sadly on Warnock I genuinely like him and would love to see him hammering the players)

I've always been against Dyche ever coming here, but right now he's the best we could get and his turgid football would be an upgrade on the just give up football that we are witnessing right now.

If King is serious about being a manager, it'd just be a case of one unproven manager who has had nothing in the way of new ideas, and shown himself to be incapable, being subbed out for another unproven manager who might well cut his teeth on the job.

You never know what you might find, if he has the mandate to be brave with new ideas, and even braver when it comes to sidelining players who aren't fulfilling their most basic professional duties.

If that's the stipulation, then it would make more sense then a costly, short term interim appointment, or a longer term manager who'd forever be tarnished by what happens in the next few months. Unless there are green shoots of improvement before the end of the season, we'll need a fresh start in the summer. If Ruud has to go, and we accept that only a miracle can save our season, then this is the most affordable of the 'wild stab in the dark' / 'nothing to lose' options.

This. We're already down so give it to them to see if they're an option for the Championship next season

Our situation compared to Ipswich and saints is so stark. The other go there is some apathy towards their demise. They played above their level and basically came up short eventually but still try in every game atleast. Their fans still clap them off for their efforts and the manager’s. It’s an acceptance of a very tough league, being out gunned, out of luck and not good enough. Also remember these are seasoned lower league players playing at the elite level for the first time.

With Leicester it is absolutely madness what is happening. We are the strongest team to have come up. We lost our manager that won us promotion and played a style that the players believed in.

we are now on manager number 3 who the players seem to have lost faith in it appears. Ability, experience & talent aside these players don’t look united they look scared and disjointed. The love and care for the badge and supporting fans has vanished. They don’t want to play football which is alarming to see considering that’s their only job they are being paid handsomely to do! Where have the sports psychologies gone? Ruud does not look like an effective man manager or motivator.

he seems nervous to try everything too insisting on changing very little in the hope of getting something positive back.

watching these performances makes me want to pull my eyeballs out except we can’t stop watching like it’s a slow moving car crash every week getting more worse and more diabolical.
