That is an interesting take.

 

First of Ranieri, Shakey and Puel were appointed by Vichai so they can be scrubbed, the issue is what has happened under Top.

 

Rodgers was a good appointment but it went stale after a couple of seasons and I think it's legitimate to say Top allowed a bad situation to fester to long. We then had Dean Smith who couldn't prevented us getting relegated.

 

Maresca, another good appointment but they pee'd him off and/or he knew too much of the financials and we couldn't keep him.

 

And then we had Cooper/RvM - which, whichever way you look at it has been a disaster.

 

It's not just about a good appointment it's about recognising when they have reached their limits and/or keeping them happy.

In that case he'll probably end up at a German club if that's his preferred destination. He'll certainly be in demand if that happens.

Yep. Rob Dorsett understands what the word 'latter' means. He clearly meant to say that Martin is unlikely.

I think we would be a brilliant move for him. It’s a step up but not a huge risk. If he does well he could have a long tenure with us, if he doesn’t I don’t think his stock will take too much of a hit
