Looking forward to Leicester City sacking Danny Rohl in November while Russell Martin sits top of the SPFL

My guess is all the release of links with Wilder, O'Neil etc are to push along Rohl sorting himself out at Sheff Wed, Pederson signing a new contract tonight suggests things may be moving.

its possible, least its some good news for Wednesday fans thru all the shit

He is clearly on about SWFC

Probably. Or a disgruntled subcontractor whose invoice hasn't been paid yet...

tbf it could be worse, Imagine being Rudkins wife

Don't have to imagine it, he no doubt does the same to her as he's done to our club. 😐

So top flew back to Thailand to collect a briefcase full of used notes to pay our wages this week

sheff wed were playing hardball and when they saw that top had flown back they thought we were serious about pulling out so changed their tone

so we’ve managed to win a negotiation without trying

have I got this right ?.

Pearson never managed Derby in the Premier League and fell out with the owner so it’s completely different. Cooper’s fan popularity has little to do with actual Premier league form at Forest. He was pretty rubbish in the PL for Forest and they just stayed up because of a basket case club called LCFC having a terrible season off the scale. He was sacked quickly the following season.

O’Neil’s failure is very fresh and whether he’s learned a lot in that brief time since his sacking, from a motivational perspective alone it’s some stretch to convince LCFC players (and fans) that he is any different to the O’Neil that somehow made a Wolves side with Cunha and Ait Nouri in it be significantly worse than Cooper’s shambolic Leicester City team during the first part of last season.

Blimey!  When you put it like that... :o

Not only did we manage to employ one manager that was worse than Cooper, we seem to have found another one, too!

Take a bow JR!  :appl:

The Pedersen situation at SWFC is throwing me. Players are not being paid, notices of players terminating their contracts are going in, the manager is reportedly trying to negotiate his release and then you renew the assistant managers contract?

The only sense I can make of it is that he will be head coach. Nothing else really lines up. Ofcourse this doesn't mean that Rohl is coming here but I do believe it suggests some sort of movement.

Honestly if I was to look around at who is available I’d go for Ruud Van Nistleroy.

It’s clear that ONeil is being considered, but who would pick him above RVN?

Even if you were to go for ONeil it’s a close call between the two who have failed quite badly in the past.

if it’s this level we are going.to, or similar, I’d have preferred to see if RVN would have been any good in the championship for a few months and avoided paying him off.

After what happened and how he was towards our support I wouldn't want RVN to be a part of this club regardless of what happens next.

However, it is hilarious, depressing, and completely unsurprising that we are looking at appointing a manager that had a far superior squad below Steve Cooper's Leicester City.

I am pretty sure it is going to be Gary O'Neil.

Such a vanilla appointment. He could do OK, but I suspect we will struggle and be scraping playoffs at best with him in charge.

This is our new reality folks. Managers like Cooper and O'Neil, and probably be back in for Wilder when we sack O'Neil next year.

Championship for the next 5+ years just feels inevitable with the way things are heading.

I am just hoping King Power are forced to sell us due to their problems back home. Until then, it is going to be grim.

I go to bed, wake up and we are no longer talking about Rohling with it, and instead are believing one article that Gary O'Neil is the messiah?  Bit of an over reaction imo, sounds more like a smoking out Rohl move to me.

This isn't going to work is it. Just doesn't come across like a manager.

Also why would he sign it? If he wants to be manager, fine. But like you say; he can't sign players for 3 windows, players have started the 15 day of cancelling contracts, there's no money if they didn't have an embargo, the chairman is a clear nutter, the list goes on. There is zero motivation to renew as he may not have a squad available.

My only consensus is that there is a takeover in the background that is taking place and he wants to be part of it. But that is a gamble as it could fall through.

Like you say, the it's thrown me as well. And why renew it as assistant and not wait till Röhl has gone? Unless Röhl is staying? Just a very odd situation, and my tired brain can't make sense of it.

I know it's nothing to do with us, but I just can't see Röhl coming in due to this.
