What are you on about? We only got relegated on Saturday.  3 days is not much time to come up with a plan for a Championship season!

When surprises like this happen, often the best thing to do is take a few days to let it all sink in before making any silly decisions.

Relagation was made an incontrovertible certainty on Sunday.

We’ve been a dead man walking for at least two months.

We were relegated on Saturday. We’ve heard absolutely nothing. Nothing about what the future plan is, what’s gone wrong, what they are planning to do, nothing at all. Southamptons owners to their credit, immediately came out with a statement with the first paragraph after announcing the sacking of Juric being …

With relegation to the Championship now confirmed, we believe it is important to give fans, players and staff some clarity on the future as we head into a very important summer”

A far cry from this lot. Know why? They don’t think we deserve answers. We now know they didn’t give any to the Trust 2 years ago. This is a club where the people are the top hold our fanbase in utter contempt. Furious that we have the cheek to question and criticise them after alllllllllll they’ve done for us, how dare us aye?

Im not going anywhere with this, im just pissed off.

Because they haven't got a plan! Can't give clarity on the plan if you haven't got one

Always likely to be this way, given we are allergic to communication.

This is what really pisses me off......Top was everywhere in the media when we were doing well, now nothing.I'd love to know if people who have renewed their ST get a "Thank you for being a loyal fan" letter from Whellan this year.

It’s all pointing to a generic statement on the website after the last game of the season. It was supposed be a root & branch investigation last time around will there be on this time around I wonder?

You can’t seriously say you hate a man who’s put his own family’s money into a club, gave local charity’s and hospitals money etc… Hate is a very strong word for someone who has made mistakes of running a football club.

He’s a billionaire. You’ve got every right to hate a billionaire, even one with good PR.

I’ll save him the trouble, he can copy and paste the following:

Official Statement from the Chairman of Leicester City

To all Leicester City supporters,

Let’s not sugar-coat it—we’ve been relegated. Again. The truth is painful, but it’s time we all took a long, hard look in the mirror.

This season was a disaster. We overspent on transfers that didn’t deliver. We’ve got players who treat matchday like a stag do, an ageing striker who should probably be plying his trade in a retirement league (yes, the MLS is calling), and a dressing room that’s become more comedy club than competitive football squad.

Fans have been quick to shout from the rooftops about what the club should be. The best in the world? Right now we’re struggling to be the best in the Midlands. Everyone wants a new stadium, world-class signings, and instant success—but that fantasy comes with a price tag and a reality check. Let’s get one thing straight: there will be no stadium expansion. We’re not pouring more money into bricks and mortar when we can’t even get eleven players to put in a proper shift on the pitch.

And yet, while some scream for change, others don’t bother showing up. You say you love the club—but where are you on a wet Tuesday night when we’re getting outplayed by teams we used to laugh at? If you want fight, you have to bring it too. Every empty seat is another blow to the badge.

We’re not where we want to be. But pretending we’re something we’re not won’t fix it. What will? Real work. Real commitment. From the boardroom to the pitch—and from the stands.

Let’s rebuild. But let’s be real.

True but his poor management of the club is likely to led to redundancies this summer and a knock on to the city’s economy. I’m sure that image of him laughing will stick in the head of those unfortunate to suffer

Expected this from the start and didn't want them. To his credit Vichai was awesome. His time was great sadly his son is as I expected they would be.

Totally understand the frustration, it’s a poorly run business and even if they did release something, it’s probably been paid for and written by someone outside of the club who’s been given a few quid to knock some words together.

Never lose sight that we all mean nothing to these lot in charge, whether it’s cutting off fans from big games with no general sale to those that go every week having digital tickets or unjust non disputable bans placed on them.

They sit in the stadium laughing 10 minutes before the drop is confirmed, I’m taking that as their statement.

Here is ChatGPT's statement.

A Message from the Chairman – Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha

To all Leicester City supporters,

Today, I write to you not only as the Chairman of this proud football club, but as someone who shares in the deep sadness and disappointment that comes with our relegation from the Premier League. This is not the message I hoped to be sharing, nor is this the chapter any of us wanted to write in our club’s recent history. We are hurting, just as you are.

Relegation is never the result of a single moment. It is the culmination of a season in which, despite the efforts of so many, we were unable to find the consistency, resilience, and performance levels required to maintain our place in the Premier League. We must be honest with ourselves: we fell short — in our planning, our execution, and ultimately, in our results.

The responsibility for this outcome rests with us as a club. I take that responsibility seriously and personally. Our fans have shown unwavering support through incredibly challenging moments, and you deserved better. We failed to match your passion with performances on the pitch, and for that, I offer my deepest apologies.

In recent years, we have celebrated incredible highs together — from the miracle of 2016, to lifting the FA Cup in 2021, and competing with pride in Europe. We know what this club is capable of achieving, and we must now reflect deeply and act decisively to ensure we build a team and an organisation that can return us to those heights.

Work has already begun behind the scenes to prepare for the future. We will rebuild — stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever. We will take the time to learn from this season, to make the right decisions for the long-term stability and success of Leicester City Football Club. Our ambition remains unchanged.

To every supporter who has stood by us, who has travelled, sung, and believed — thank you. Your loyalty means everything. This is not the end of our story. It is a difficult chapter, but one we will overcome together.

With humility and determination,
Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha
Chairman, Leicester City Football Club

How naive

He's a billionaire, let's all praise the billionaire for giving a tiny bit of his money away to the plebs.

Actions speak louder than words, and they can't even acknowledge relegation properly.

There's no excuse excuse this, we all knew it was coming.

We're an absolute shitshow and it continues to get worse.

They can send an email out though asking why I didn’t go the game on Sunday

After all the complants about ticket prices at the start of the season and believing they could get away with it, it was good to see that even with tourists in the home end and playing the champions elect, there was still swathes of empty seats.

People eventually paid PL prices for Championship football last season as we were winning. It shouldn't be near £100 to take me and daughter to a match. People are struggling to pay their energy bills or make ends meet and to watch their team it is either pay through nose for tickets, pay crazy prices for Sky Sports or know how to/know a guy who can help set up IPTV.

But at least the last 2 games are cat C and its only £69 for me and my daughter to go.

We've got an owner who isn't a good leader basically. He's disengaged so it just makes fans frustrated and alienated. And for the manager and the players, it doesn't help either. Nobody understands why decisions are made and we are just drifting aimlessly as a football club

He doesn't care. He hates us and we hate him.

The sooner he ****s off the better but it won't happen.

He doesn't care largely because he knows he's got at least 50% of the fanbase wrapped around his little finger because of how influential Vichai was on the success of this club. I think a select group of fans "hate" him, but the vast majority cannot see past what happened 10 years ago with the PL & 7 years ago with Vichai.

You have seen the atmosphere over the past 20 games or so - it is total apathy. It will only become more stale at the ground because of the passive nature of the fanbase.

I've come to the conclusion after the BSLB pod with Guy Branston that anything above Mid Championship. As per when KP took over is seen as doing well and fans have no right to moan .
