Had a very decent season in 23/24 at Bologna and will most likely go to a European club if he doesnt go back to the Premier League. He's not had a decent run the team and was only held back by minor injuries. Plenty of untapped potential and future sell-on. Yeh definitely this - 100%. I’m that sure he’ll be so so good for Forest that I’ll even drive VK to the City Ground myself and drop him off in their car park.
dooflip Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Please let this be true. Perfectly fine with Thomas as LB in this league. Kristianssen is awful, and has delusions of grandeur. Get out of our club ya tw@.

Dunge Posted 26 August 2025 Posted 26 August 2025 Kristiansen is a feather. The kind of guy you want in the opposing trenches. When the going gets tough he mysteriously disappears, and when the going’s good he’s still nothing special. Yes, he’s better than Thomas technically. But at least Thomas has some fight in him. Selling him to Forest would be great business.

G https://www.squawka.com/en/comparison-matrix/?compare=an-nxjltlWTVCx980DIgu Looking at last season’s stats, Thomas has a better: Passing accuracy % Crossing accuracy % Aerial duel success % Take on success % More clearances and inceptions per game The reality is, it’s much of a muchness between them. We don’t need two left backs of a similar standard. One doesn’t want to be here, has never been overly liked by members of the squad and we can get £10m for him. Even better when you consider it’ll bring the overall wage bill down as well. No brainer really. We’ll have 4 fullbacks in Choudhury, Ricardo, Thomas and Aluko. 2

Didn't he cry about losing his place in the Denmark team despite being a mainstay in one of the worst defenses in Premier League history, and with them having a proper stable of other options? I'd call that pretty delusional personally.
ronnup Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Runs about, seems keen but is a disaster pistionally. Doesn't seem to excel as a LB or WB Could easily do well somewhere else with decent coaching, something we haven't had for a while

James_lcfc Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Our left back options are genuinely awful. I'd love one that could progress the ball a bit - Luke Thomas is one of the worst progressive carriers I've ever seen and he rarely passes forward. Kristiansen is a bit better in this aspect but not by much. Making a bit of profit on VK would be great, but a good LB on loan would improve us so much. Obviously striker and CM would be priority, but a good LB once Ricardo is back at RB would make a big difference. 3

On the flip side, Callum Doyle wasn't an LB, Ricky had never played as a 6 and Ndidi wasn't an 8. They all did well in their positions and didn't run off to a farmer's league to stat pad.
FosseSpark Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Kristiansen v Thomas is like two bald men arguing over a comb. 3

How the hell does he know what position truly puts him at his best? It’s not like he was being asked to play in goal or as a striker..
FosseSpark Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 I think Faes was best when he was covering for Doyle as Left Side of a three almost. Kept him the f**k away from the goal and let him progress the ball. Maybe something for the pregnant pratfall of a pillock to consider for his next move.
