I was ready for him to leave but just assumed he'd retire.

Not ready for him to play for another English team. If he's great for someone it would be a bitter pill, but equally if he was shit, it would be hard to watch.

I was talking to somebody who claimed to know Vardy and he is adamant that he will go either MLS or Como.

Probably BS but that's where my money would be on. Can't see him going to another championship side or any PL club taking him at his age.

Como was my guess

I reckon we've offered Vards a derisory wage and he's rejected it as he wants.more money, hence wanting a Prem club. I don't think he'll want to upsticks to anywhere because of his family, I'm not sure what kind of wage he's after though, because im not sure he'll get much even by a prem side, seemed clear to me his pace has gone and a bit of his confidence with it, makes it all the sadder if this is the case.

If it's money he needs, hope he gets a decent contract from the Saudis to set him up so he can come back to us as a coach.

His best mate Wise isn't there anymore though..

No disrespect to either club but if he goes to a side like West Ham or Wolves I'll be actively annoyed.. Just go and finish your career in America ffs.

Absolute legend but I'd like to know what hes seen in himself this season to think he's still capable of playing in the Prem.

Its essentially been 10 men for us.

Why are we not keeping vardy . I read the club didn't offer him a contract then I read today there are lots of premier league clubs wanting to sign him. We should keep him

I feel like there is some cognitive dissonance here.

I'm reading people having a go at the club for not renewing his contract and at the same time there are thousands of posts about how we've blown money on wages and shit contracts.

Maybe it's not the same posters but we can't have it both ways. Vardy is not every other player and deserves more grace than most, but given how tight it appears things are financially, surely it makes sense that if we're continuing to tighten our belts, there would be a point Vardy won't go below that we simply wouldn't match?

I have no faith in this board and I can't bear the thought of him playing for Wolves or West Ham more but to me this just feels like a lot of contributory factors culminating in something none of us "want" but was always a possibility.

If i was a fan of a Premier League team I would be underwhelmed by the signing of 38 year old Vardy after the season he's had.

If he does go back to the Premier League i would love to see him do well, even if it isnt for us:cry:
