I’m probably reading way too much into this now, but final appearance at King Power also rules out a return as opposition so probably off abroad. Again, probably reading too much into it.

No it wasn't. As it also said "final appearance." and corroborated by the stuff Dorset was saying yesterday. He doesn't fancy a trip down South!

He could be injured but will play through it given its the last home game.

Maybe the injury vs Forest is worse than thought, willing to drug him up for Sunday and then rest it off before any medicals!

Let's be honest, 500 is a really neat number.

If I had the choice between making five hundred appearances, or FiVe hUnDrEd AnD oNe, I know which I'm going for.

There's absolutely no way the club's media team are astute enough to consider this.

Can't fault him .. goes out on exactly 500 games in front over 30000 of his own fans all chanting his name, and hopefully getting his 200th goal.. or play his final match in front of a shed of 10000 all slating his missus.

Come on Vardy.. just hope he bags early on Sunday so he don't get too desperate and retire on a red card

Don't get why he can't play against Bournemouth.

Probably had enough of losing every week and doesn’t fancy it 😂

Got a booking at ocean beach....

Normally I'd be against this but on this occasion I feel it makes sense.

I thought this but MLS window doesn't open until July.

If the Bournemouth game mattered then he would have played it. But with this he can just bow out at home and on 500 games. I'd imagine legends of any club would want their last game to be at home.

It’s his decision? Wants to end his LCFC career playing his final game at home.

This is almost certainly the reason. Sunday is his big send-off. He's probably decided he wants to go out to a standing ovation at the KP - playing away at Bournemouth the following week would likely be a bit of a damp lobster.
