And we might for the most part be happy with Rohl as the most attractive candidate out there. So long as we all understand that ‘candidate’ means someone who’s actually prepared to work for our board. And so long as we don’t give those uncommunicative twerps any credit at all for securing one of their preferred candidates…

If it’s him I’ll back him. My personal jury is still out as to whether I’ll go and support the current regime by actually attending a match. And until January last year, I’d barely missed a home game in 45 years…

Correct. Rohl is an obvious stand out candidate, and due to the situation at Wednesday, is an open goal to secure. Even then, we seem to be making hard work of it, being reactive to the situation at Wednesday rather than securing him. Meanwhile we creep closer to the season starting.

I look at it this way, if a striker has an open goal from a few yards out, fumbles it and nearly messes it up before it rolls over the line, you’d say he was lucky and to not have scored would be a huge f*** up. You wouldn’t be heaping praise and credit on him.

That is the way I look at the appointment of Rohl. Aiyawatt, Rudkin and co certainly don’t deserve credit if it does go through.

It would be first class trolling by LCFC if they announced Röhl today, WEDNESDAY 2 July.

i suspect if it is him, they wont announce until they issue a video with Aiyawatt and Rudkin fawning over him while showing him around Seagrave.

The last time we had a managerial ‘open goal’ fall to us by chance was when Martin O’Neill suddenly became available after falling out with Robert Chase at Norwich shortly after Mark McGhee walked out on us.

Is there any chance your friend has incorrectly been hearing the name Danny Rohl as opposed to Danny Ward

I'm no fan of the current regime, their decision making or lack of communication. However, if by drawing the negotiations out they've both eased PSR concerns and reduced any compensation payment, then surely that is a good thing?

It's easy to criticise them, but surely being too gung-ho in securing signings in the past, agreeing over the top fees and wages etc. has been one of the biggest issues in getting into this mess?

I'm as impatient as anyone waiting for the news we have signed an exciting new manager, but in the grand scheme of things, it won't be that long.

I hope not anyway!lol

Pressuambly this would have been done but the owner has to drag himself half way across the world to meet him and be the centre of attention as usual.

What's the point of owning a football club if you can't take credit for the good bits?

It's no bad thing for any potential new manager and the owner meeting face-to-face.
