Video doing the rounds of Starmer and Lamby having to flee the streets of london and needing to be shoved into a police car after a crowd people lobbing abuse at them both. Dont think its ai. But they both look scared to death, think even at one point the police didnt know how to protect them so just shoved into a police car.

If I haven’t been clear enough in my posts, I am very much central politics. I agree with some right principles (justice system too soft/benefit system/immigration to be managed etc) but a more left way of dealing with it, I.e not the right wing way of burning and smashing up our towns and cities.

 

The far right need to stop crying about the flag thing. They are the ones that have weaponised it and made it a symbol of division not celebration.

 

I’m all for England flags when it comes to a national celebration like a World Cup. But due to the right wing, when you go through an area with lots of flags now you just think, intolerant, riots, racism as that is the symbol they have created.

 

To any who try and argue, 2 words. Why now?

Yea I actually agree with his points tbf 

 

It is a shame that if you were to hang a flag out your window/car window during the world cup you will be basically called Tommy Robinson. It's sad that is has come to that

because that's what happens when certain factions appropriate a symbol to further a distasteful cause.  The swastika (or it's pre-nazi established version) was a sign of good fortune and good luck... I don't think you can blame society as a whole for an association that has been rammed down everyone's throats for 12 months by those wanting to promote a viewpoint.

Fly flags if you want in your own home, provided within law

 

Don't spam public spaces with tatty flags

 

Others may judge you based on your actions

How then do good hearted people reclaim their flag or should it only be flown by official authorities?

Possibly by marginalising, in every possible way, the movements and organisations that are using it maliciously. That's the way it was reclaimed in the late 80s/early 90's.
