If this is true, sell Bilal and get Hamer.

Just for the meltdown that the Cov fans will have if he comes here, I want this to happen.

I think it’s safe to say he’s played his last game for us. Besides the fact he may or may not be on strike, the board won’t want a £35m asset getting injured in our current predicament

Zero chance he comes to us

let the bidding war begin

If the release clause was only €22m then it’s crazy that clubs didn’t come in and activate it.

Totally undervalued price for him, we’re well within our right to play hardball now.

It wasn't, it was nearer £30m according to more well established reports.

It will just be the agent feeding them the lower value so it makes the club seem greedy and not letting him go.

You're underestimating how incompetent we are

Would love Hamer but we can't afford that surely

Wasn't there talk on another thread of him being available on loan with an obligation to buy? If that's an option, I'd explore it. It's abundantly clear that any significant money needs to be prioritised on a striker.

Not convinced we can afford to be obliged to spend 15m either

Wants to play in the Premier League so dont think he'd have much interest in us.

Thinking about it, was it option or obligation to buy? I thought that the Fatawu deal was an obligation to buy conditional on us going up?

For whatever reason prem teams don’t seem interested in him :dunno: there must be more to it than meets the eye because he’s class and has had consistent numbers

If we need to shift Bilal out so that we can finance players coming in, I would prefer we got on with it now, as we don't have enough time.

We are in desperate need of a Striker, CM and a LB, and really 1-2 more. Bilal is forcing for a move and as long as it is in the £30m+ range, we should get on with it and hope that allows dominoes to start falling.

Either that, or we are reasonably confident of pricing out other clubs and think he will come back into the team without too much fuss. It's a risk though.

Probably the fact his mother as his agent has been peddling and linking him to pretty much every premier league club in existence and then his behaviour and attitude over the last couple of weeks may have raised the odd doubt or red flag too interested parties.

I really hope we manage to reach a compromise over the next couple of days and get him gone out of our club as I don’t want to see his sulking face anywhere near our team again, regardless of his talent, there is definitely a very questionable attitude when there is a sniff of a move.

If he doesn’t sell, of course he’ll play.

Lambert09 was referencing Gus Hamer with that one...

This has kind of taken a worst case scenario turn, really. He seems to have burned bridges and coming back would be very difficult. But one by one potential suitors have fallen away. Leeds still, maybe, now that Chelsea hijacked Buonanotte (which is a terrible move for him, sadly). But Leeds isn't going to pay 35 million for BEK, and probably not even 30.

I don’t think he’s burnt bridges at all. He’s not done an Isak and gone completely awol. He was at the stadium watching our game and wearing a Leicester City top.

It’s not an ideal situation but at least we’ve won the two games he’s been left out and by the next time we play we’ll know.

The worst case scenario would be a loan with an option to buy (don’t rule it out with that lot negotiating) but at least by the next time we play we’ll know for certain if he’s part of our squad or not. I think mahrez acted worse than this guy and we got another year out of him
