However if he was desperate to leave then best for all concerned. A measured and balanced post, think you’re on the wrong forum Gerard 🤣 2

Literally three weeks ago everyone on here was like “he’s a championship cheat code” and now apparently he’s crap 😂 get over it, he’s a promising young player who wants to better himself. Stay here, or move abroad? I don’t blame him, the championship is a load of shit, this is a great move for him, and he will excel there given a chance. I haven't said he's crap but he is a mercenary without loyalty or respect for anybody but number one. I see that as a strength in a pro footballer a player that wears and respects the shirt and honours his contract. The only positive thing that's come out of him is a bit of profit. Him, Isak and Wissa should be ashamed of the way they've conducted themselves.
Benji Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 At least it’s not Palace. They should have a 5x asking price premium going forward after Edouard. 2

kingpowerout Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 Loan!? Hmmmm…the deal is getting worse every time there’s and update, a bit like it did with Mads

ajthefox Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 (edited) I'm still finding it a bit odd that he's going and after all this social media nonsense. We're clearly a worse team without him and although we must've done some planning for this over the last few weeks, I don't expect we'll get a replacement. Output numbers aside the lad has talent and it is a shame he's leaving as he was genuinely exciting to watch. That said, it is decent money and turning profit on a player after 1 year is no bad thing. Not to mention that the last thing we need is another unhappy player taking a decent wedge and not fully applying himself. Wait what, why a loan?!?! Edited 31 August 2025 by ajthefox
Stopharage Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 Just when you thought this transfer window couldn't get even worse, thanks a bunch Florian.
winteriscoming Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 Piss off. Loan deal. Keep him if it’s only a loan. If they want him pay for him permanently.
-sodapop Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 So we've gone from a £35m permanent deal to a £22m loan option? Is the loan fee extremely high or something?
Benji Posted 31 August 2025 Posted 31 August 2025 A loan this season would suggest we are PSR compliant and therefore saving the fee for next year. Assuming we’ve driven the structure that is… 3
