He’s too left footed, opponents know what he’s going to do.

I don’t think that is actually the problem - he’s got the pace over 5 yards to go past defenders both ways.  The problem is his decision making - he bloody loves a shot (and sometimes it pays off) but other times he needs to be cuter with it and pick a different option.

He’ll go to one of the teams going up this year. His take-on stats are outrageous and he’s got a decent G/A return in a crap side.

Any player with any sense wouldn't risk an injury and their escape from this club.

You have to remember that all the players have also been let down by the club too.

In what respect?

If there’s one thing you can control as a player, it’s your own performance…. You can’t blame the club for players throwing the towel in. Speaks more about their personalities.

Shite team mates, shite atmosphere within the club, shite manager, shite tactics, no direction from the board, most likely fed a story of how things will be if they sign up, crappy or no signings for several transfer windows in a row.

It's a bit like working at a firm that you know is on the way down and morale is at an all time low.

Yes but you can still hold your own standards rather than jumping in the lifeboat too.

Tbf at least Abdul has tried. Yeh he hasn’t been much of an influence as of late but the whole squad hasn’t been up to scratch the whole season. Abdul has pulled some magic off this season in certain games but he can only do so much. Yeh he tries too much most of the time but that is because he probably doesn’t trust his team mates. In some aspects I don’t blame him. He will flourish in a better side with better players.

Was overcoached by Enzo as basically played as a wing back half the time. But the very things he's being called out for (rightfully); his selfishness, decision making, predictability, were the very things he was amazing at. It's now gone to the other extreme and is given total freedom.

He needs a manager who gives him more discipline but not as shackled as an Enzo system demands. Still got incredible potential

It would be great if that freedom involved something different from cutting inside and blazing it over.

This is where we needed characters in the dressing room to pull him up on it. You could say that about so many of them.

Those saying his stats are good are right but that was his stats 2-3 months ago. The last couple of months he's given up as much as anyone else.

Enzo had a player who had played around 200 minutes in professional football and made him in to one of the best wingers in the championship, I think your being harsh on Enzo.

Yeah he's given up, but if it wasn't for him and JJ, we'd be competing with Sheff Wed for bottom spot. That smile, that enthusiasm has disappeared, just like for the rest of us.

Easy to forget he's 22 and been out for a year with a ACL.

If only they made a documentary!

Needs a good coach around him to help him with his decision making and one who knows how to manage him, i.e. pulling him when he's in that mindset of playing for himself but explain after the reasons why. Has a lot of talent which if not managed properly will easily not hit the heights it should. That said he won't be here next season so I'm not going to worry too much about him.

Sorry, I'm not saying Enzo didn't coach him really well because he obviously did. My point is that it was frustrating at times, especially in that dreadful run where Fatawu was still being forced into that really deep position. The structure Enzo gave him did great things, it just needed loosening a little bit

Enzo seemed to give more flexibility to his players at Chelsea, I think that was part of Enzo being a newish manager.

Can we stop the sensationalist nonsense please?
