Photos are currently in progress. Unless they're not of course. Which if not means that no announcement pending.

Seems to have a very intelligent understanding of how he expects his teams to play and adapt. Just hope the players are skilful enough to take on board his ideas.

I've been told we can't afford photos so he's been asked to sketch a quick self-portrait!

"Also Marti, just one more thing—our wifi is currently down. It's being sorted today. Or possibly next week. Soon anyway. But in the meantime, would you mind writing your own press release and uploading it onto the site from your phone?"

I’m sure someone said Cifuentes likes to play winger’s up front.
I’d like to see Mavididi playing as a forward.

I’d like to see Mavididi playing!

The sort of coach we should appointed to replace Enzo, think we got sacked into the need for PL experience.

Think you'll see a resurgence of Winks and Ricardo under him.

Please God let Ricky stay fit.

This is his healthy year after all, isn't it?

The Ricky-Winks axis basically guarantees you top six if nothing else.

Cifuentes' basic philosophy is very similar to Enzo's, but he sounds more pragmatic and willing to play more direct if the situation demands it. If only there were were a Spanish coach available to us last summer who matched that description, wanted to join us and was available for a few million in compensation...

More suitable.

IF we get back to the Premier League, I have some reservations about the style working there. But if you haven't seen, it, check out the highlights when they beat Leeds 4-0 when we were promoted. He has shown he isn't averse to playing without the ball and hitting teams on the break. That is different to Enzo who I think would be overly stubborn.

His style is the classic Dutch / Barcelona 433 / 343 and it's variants. If you have technical players, that style will always be effective. When you are up against players who are more technical than yours, it can be an issue.

I agree with this but I think the main reason that Marti's style maybe be more suited to the PL than Enzo's other than the latters insistence of a slow build up is pressing. Enzo didn't push the press too much, MC does and we've seen teams like Bournmouth last season have success with that.

Let's all keep talking about how pragmatic Cifuentes is until @Finnegan has a breakdown.

Please don’t. Still pisses me off that we got Ayew and Skipp for a combined 30m but wouldn’t pay the compensation for Corberan.

Chuck in a line about needing a plan B (extremely unsubtly implying that that plan B is a 7ft "striker" that averages 0.2 goals a game and can't outrun Vestergaard) and I might have a full on episode.

They are just waiting for Marti to pay for the photographer.

Once the transfer has been made, Rudkin will then fax the training ground address to Marti and all steam ahead.

I've heard he's been given a stick to draw himself in the dry, barren ground of our pitch.

I was 50% through my Danny Rohl version so I hope this one doesn't go tits up...
