I know Topps Tiles shirt had a bit of a bad rep for being an ugly AF shirt but after this, I take it back. This latest instalment of betting/ gambling companies for a shirt sponsor is a disgrace. The family club vision is well and truly dead.

 

I'd say good luck selling that abomination of a KBet shirt Top, but if decreased revenue from shirt sales gets you, Rudkin and Whelan out faster, so be it.

Could it be because the “alleged money laundering” idea has been shelved as the kit leak scuppered the plans to make Kbet look legit?

A plausible idea that’s for sure.

The delay has to be because of the sponsor. There can't be many nPower clubs yet to officially unveil their home kit. 

 

I can't imagine the morons in LCFC commercial have suddenly grown a conscience but it does seem the stench around the club is becoming impossible to ignore. 

 

Still, I'd be massively surprised if it's not KBet when the kit is finally announced.

They must be, at the very least, delaying this as they know eyes are on it. Even if that’s just trying to document DD in case of an investigation.

 

Hope they completely bin them off, but feel that’s too good to be true.

Whatever happens  the club will be in a weaker negotiating position. The buzz around new kit launches puts a lot of eyes on the sponsorship logo. Going forward, any potential sponsors (including this absolute shitshow of a company) will factor that into any renumeration. Not ideal when every penny counts.

I doubt K bet is a Wheelan Rudkin master plan. I feel it’s more likely they were told to ‘make it work’ from the Thai side of the business operations and now are trying to do just that or pick up the pieces and attempt to find something else.

I don't think it will be King Power they have a new operations director he won't allow spending like this when they cannot even keep up with existing contracts also the club need the best deal they can get with PSR worries.

Unfortunately I think you're right, but we have really snookered ourselves with these dodgy deals. 

 

The FBS one was where it started going wrong. We were in a much better state as a club then, still a big name following the title win and top half premier league so could have attracted a long term blue chip sponsor. Maybe an airline or proper financial institution. But we sold our soul to the devil for that reported £40m (wonder how much of that we actually saw) and are now shopping in the basement bin with no chance of that sort of deal now.

I'm astonished Air Asia were never interested given the obvious links such as sponsoring the East Stand for a time. Or Thai Airways given the fact that they essentially share their HQ with King Power.
