Ayew would be the best CF option of what we have on the basis he’d be able to hold up and bring our wingers into the game most, which will be our by far our most dangerous asset.

but also not as good at the pressing game simply because of his age. The more it gets mentioned the more the idea of converting McAteer or even Stephy appeals

Last pre-season we fluffed them all. Winning mentality is important.

Ayew stroppy with the ref at the end, and Booba remonstrating with Okoli on the pitch as the handshakes are happening.

Fair enough if that's how they work things out.

Let's just take a minute and realise how spoilt Leicester are this season.

Gk

Hermanson, Stolarczyk

CB

Nelson, Okoli, Vestergaard,Faes

RB.

Ricardo, Coulibaly.

LB

Justin, Thomas

CM

Winks, Soumare,Skipp,Ndidi

Cam

BeK, Alves, Page

LW

Monga,Mavididi

RW

Fatawu, Evans

ST

Ayew

Our 2nd player per position is better that 85% of current championship teams.

Decent watch that

Can tell how direct he wants the wingers to be, hate to say it but Mcateer looked the weaker out of the 5 that played

Great to see how aggresive we were in the press, countless times we were quick and hard in the tackle to win the ball back

Plenty of positives

Lol just chose to omit Daka (not being close to a professional footballer to be fair :crylaugh:

I think our forward options are great. Defending will be the problem I feel yet again.

Agree on McAteer but he pressed and worked back very well, Marti will like that, especially in away games against the better sides. Reckon he’ll play a fair bit this season.

Main points I picked up…

Both full-backs pushing up high and inside.

Clear tactic to isolate our wingers 1 vs 1.

Clear identity to press.
Ayew led the line better than Daka.

A new striker and more energy in midfield, then I’ll be pretty confident for the new season.

Good run out. Nothing particularly great but solid enough.

Monga is lively and I like how he's always trying to get involved. Stephy has some serious competition who i thought i was pretty poor. Alves was good for his cameo too.

Great to see Fatawu backed and he looked lively.

Much prefer Justin at left back.. interesting the positions Thomas took first half because Justin didn't do similar second.
