Pretty good on the whole. Dampened when Fatawu went off but didn't really allow them any good chances to score which is a refreshing change.

 

Nowhere near convinced on the whole but think the manager's showing some good signs.

Risk reward isn't it. You get it right and turn the opposition and space massively opens up. One of the best near misses like this was away at Watford two years ago when we opened up for one of the best goals of the season with Ricardo finishing it.

As a performance, you’ve got to be pleased. Fiorentina starting 11 aside, the managers been here, 3 weeks ? 

Lots of positive to take from it. Abdul especially.

Clear identity, clear patterns of play, energetic pressing, wingers using their 1 vs 1 ability and players like Skipp and Ayew looked transformed.

The most impressive thing was the pressing as a team. We have not had a manager committed to implementing that except on occasion since Ranieri.

I really want Nelson to be first choice centre back though. He’s the future and good enough now. I really don’t want see us persist with Vestergaard and Faes unless it has to be one of them alongside Nelson.
