I worry that if Fatawu has a great season he’ll be off to a ‘bigger’ PL team whether we get promoted or not

I think we will do well to keep him for the whole season depending on how prem teams are getting on in jan . If it wasn’t for his injury he a good chance he would already be gone

Natural to feel that way but as we’ve seen from recent years it’s how we have to operate and sadly he is likely to be our next big money maker. We’ll just have to enjoy it while we can.
better than him leaving for free

You do get the feeling that the opening fixtures (Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and Preston) give a reasonable opportunity for the squad to build a bit of optimism and momentum. All three are eminently winnable.

Is this close to their first team?

Not particularly I don't think but looking at their bench it might be more like it in the second half

Either way it benefits us if he has a shit hot season. Let's just enjoy him while we can

Has Bobby left us?

I manage to forget him but then remember he’s still part of the strain on wages. He was injured on international duty so will be someways behind the others in fitness (and ability!!).

Think Enzo, but faster. Feels like when we pass back, we then quickly try to play forward. No baiting of the press like Enzo, really—more like breaking the lines. Balls often played forward into the channels to get Fatawu and Mavididi one-on-one. Meanwhile, full-backs (namely Thomas) coming inside and joining the attack as a sort of attacking midfielder.

.......Vestergaard......?

Teams are going to park the bus this season so I think we’ll need him.

Not a good defender but a very good passer of the ball - If we aren’t defending very often he’ll be very useful.

Well this is nice isn’t it. Still convinced that Vestegaard and Soumare should never wear the shirt again, but god we’ve got some wingers haven’t we!

And that’s the deduction more or less covered with 3 games played.
