We are so predictable. This is exactly the type of conversation that will be happening behind the scenes.

 

Glover: Kone has had a great season, if you look at his stats he will fit in exactly for what we look for. He is big, strong will link up and score goals and he is young. He's available for just 5m due to his contract

 

Rudkin: Very interesting but im worried about his lack of playing at a higher level. We will put in a call but i want to keep waiting on the other options. 

 

Glover: the players from the prem experienced list?

 

Rudkin: Yes, the ones with top level experience. I think we need more leaders in this team. Ive given the green light to let monga be involved so its really important the striker is experienced and will also draw in the international interest.

 

Glover: Thai influencers?

 

Rudkin: Yes of course. I dont know how tik tok works but top wants to grow our presence.

Rudkin: So how are the names on that list? Any changes

 

Glover: Yes, well Bamford is still available but they will be asking for a fee close to Ayews as they will use that as a measuring stick

 

Rudkin: Ive told them already, we cant do that this year. Not until we have brought in close to 100m.  We cant be failing psr again but id love to have him. What about DCL? Has he made a decision yet?

Glover: Jon  we dont have a lot of time what network should I prioritize? Spain, prem loans? ive got that knee operation next week I told you about, ill be out of commision. 

 

Rudkin: Just wasserman. wait, by god marty youve done it again you brilliant man. We can just call Oxlaide-chamberlain. Ask him about knee recovery and tell him we have  great role for him.

I wasn't overly hyped by this anyway. Think we can do better. Maybe we will hit the loan market for an out of favour or young striker from a Premier League club.

The type of low risk, high upside bets we should be making. No doubt we'll on the phone to Wasserman for an over-the-hill chump on wages we can't afford.
