A servant isn't paid obscene money as a rule.. he did his job he's vastly overpaid to do

And I wish him well

The brilliant thing about the English language is that words can serve multiple purposes

A servant is a person employed to perform duties for another, often in a household, such as cooking and cleaning. The term can also refer to someone who works for the government, known as a public servant.

But its the same way to how people in press keep saying a player is keen to join the project

Or the player only wants arsenal or whoever else

It really grinds my gears , perhaps I just have too much time on my hands

Personally i thought he had a couple of very good years then turned into mr backpass, the man who totally destroyed virtually all midfield creativity and slowed the game to the point it was unwatchable, i blame him for many of our issues of the last few seasons, the nigtmare team of ndidi and Soumare, worst midfield in our history, so bye and thank god for rhat. Gives me faith in the new Manager if thats an example of his decision making.

Was one of the best in his position for a few good seasons. It’s a shame he had his long shots seemingly coached out of him, as he was good for a couple of bangers a season when he first joined.

Rare of late to be be talking about a departing player in good terms (vardy aside) but overall NDidi was a success for us and after 2016s transfer window shocker got us back on track.

He was incredible at times for us in the first 5 seasons and repaid his transfer fee by the fa cup final.

9 Million is a good deal for us now.

Best of luck Wilf :scarf:

Yes, I used to love seeing them rise rapidly until clearing the stadium roof. If ever there’d been a shot altitude prize, Wilf would have been a multiple trophy winner.

His physicality will be missed this Season.

The injury issues are also exaggerated, he was of such an important player for us, that he was never given time to recover properly after injuries and was overplayed, this happened multiple times under Rodgers, and even under Maresca during our Championship Season.

The very fact even Maresca was willing to persevere with his limited technical ability and play him completely out of position as a number 8 says a lot about how much upside Ndidi brings to a team. He'd be in our first XI this Season, but given the financial mismanagement he's one of the sacrifices we have to make, but would not, if we had other options.

Always seems like a nice guy. While not a legend, definitely an 'unforgettable'.

Legend for me.  He and Shakey saved us from the shame of becoming relegated champions in 2017.

Good luck Wilf
