Completely agree. Obviously Coady and Wilf have gone. Hoping the rumours about Hamza are true. The obvious ones are Soumare and Daka. £155k a week spent on paying those two....and for what? Makes my blood boil.* £40k on Souttar, a player it appears no-one at the club actually wanted, seems like an equally spectacular waste of money. * To be fair, £170k a week on Winks and Riccy P isn't much better. No way either are worth anything like what they're being paid. Edited 15 August 2025 by Tielemans63 6

If we're accepting Winks is on 90k then we're also accepting Fatawu and Mavididi are on 10k each which even accounting for relegation wage drops I think is very unlikely 4

Soumare on the other hand....paid waaaayyyyy too much. 1

Another one of those players who’s prob too good for the championship but not good enough for the premiership. I hope he stays but his reaction after scoring doesn’t give me much confidence he will. He's above the championship in terms of ability and be average in the prem. His attitude is that of a premadonna

Being unhappy at a club is not the same as being a prima donna. Very different things. I suspect his spat with RVN created a very distorted impression of him and the harsh criticism from sections of our fanbase that followed has hurt him. You might argue that he should just get over it and show more enthusiasm when we score, but it doesn’t always work like that. I hope he stays and regains his enthusiasm because we don’t have anybody else who can do what he does and we would struggle to replace him. 2 2

KDH had had next to zero criticism from our fanbase following relegation. He was one of the players to most avoid any stick, people respected he put a shift in and he was a local lad. He still started the season showing a significant chip on his shoulder, never really appeared outwardly all that happy and when he scored he was cupping his ears to the fans as if we'd spent weeks abusing him. It was a bit odd. But he also seemed to feed off whatever anger it was he was holding on to and his performances kicked on a level, so, hey, whatever he needs to motivate himself I guess? I really don't give a ****. I hate a LOT of our fans, to be quite honest. I don't care how much of a snob I am, we've so many many thick-as-shit, proud-to-be-ignorant chavs in the fanbase with **** all empathy for anyone they actually claim to support, who turn on players at the drop of a hat and claim to have always loved them the next minute if they have a good game. Fickle, childish dickheads. 9 7
CloudFox Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 I'll admit, the aperol spritz in a beer garden while we were playing a match fighting against relegation pissed me off. I also didn't like his part in the "I miss u Enzo" incident in Copenhagen or wherever it was... I do, however, understand why he didn't want to be away from his newborn over night. And let's be honest, that Enzo sign incident, although unprofessional, was a pretty good reflection of how many felt under Cooper I hope he stays, and I hope he rediscovers his passion playing for us. If we get that Harry Winks back this season, we'll do alright I think. 1 1

He always plays with a right attitude, looks pissed off a lot when he scores and plays best when he's got some anger in him. Think some players just need that to psyche themselves up. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if a coach or even a sports psychologist had worked with KDH and encouraged him to tap in to that kinda energy because he plays best when he's somewhat on edge. But fans just have to take superficial shit so god damn personally it's absurd. 1

I agree with your sentiment, probably wouldn't have articulated it as fruitily, but I understand your gripe with people who are quick to emotion (I feel like I am too in a lot of situations). Wasn't the gripe with KDH that he 'wished' Madisson luck at spurs and everyone went mental at him? I thought that was overblown a bit but the family base is a tinder pile at the mo. There's just a lot of little things that have built up and now the kindling has turned into a blazing fire and every minor thing is just another log for it. I think a lot of it (I would hope at least) in times gone by a lot of these minor issues would be brushed off. Anyway I feel like I've just argued for both sides but ignorance is bliss, and sometimes I wish I could just shout at the telly and feel better afterwards. 1

Personally, I think the club needs a reset and that means getting rid of a lot of the top paid players and guys who don't want to be here and replacing them with players who are hungry and are up for the challenge of competing in the EFL. I don't know if VK wants to stay as he's an international, so may feel he needs to play in a top division somewhere, time will tell as he's injured. If he wants to play and compete, then I'd keep him as he's still very young and ha room to improve.
