Totally agree. Can we call him our least sh*t midfielder instead of our “best”? Being the tallest dwarf doesn’t make you a giant. Hopefully we can move him on and get someone in who actually wants to play. Imagine a squad of players that actually cared!

Came on thinking there was an update on Wanks to find the Toxic Toad is still here. Seriously, don’t you think other interested clubs would see the noise and behaviour from him. Perhaps that’s not important but if I was him I’d keep my head down and fingers crossed that another club is stupid to ignore the total lack of courtesy and professionalism and just take him off our hands.

Winks is a good player who seems to be at bottom half premiership player who can only function in a system that suits him !

His attitude though is the problem.  Immature, extremely disrespectful to the club, his fellow team mates and a disgusting role model for younger players. So an all round toxic personality who needs to be moved out as soon as possible.

Bit disappointing that the links have died down.

 

He's going to still be here after the window closes isnt he. Even if he was a model professional I would still want him gone, just not good enough.

Thing is, it’s well known James Garner’s knees were gone even by The Rockford Files era of the mid 1970’s so it’s unlikely he could do a job as a creative midfielder. Plus there’s the added (insurmountable?) complexity that he’s dead. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The only reason I wouldn’t want him here is because he doesn’t want to be here and had a bad attitude. If we consider football ability only, he is very much good enough if not the best CM we have.

It will be interesting to see how he responds if he doesn't get a move. Does he actually want to play or would he prefer to rot in the reserves until his contract is up? And if he does play, does he plan to continue sulking all season and storming off down the tunnel on 90mins irrespective of the result?

I think he wants to spend Monday to Friday with the family and have weekends off. Laughable entitlement from a player on £60k a week who is nowhere near EPL quality anymore.

He doesn't tackle, he doesnt win the ball back, he doesnt run, doesnt carry the ball well, isnt a goal threat, isnt good in the air. 

 

All he is good at is passing and he's not exceptional at it either. He also has a tendency to give the ball to the opposition in dangerous positions.

 

He's very limited im sorry to say, he was good for a period under Maresca but we need better rounded midfielders than him going forwards. Bad attitude or not his ability simply does not justify his wages.
