adejo92 Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 12m is absolutely robbery, love it. Should be able to secure Bamford on a nice 5 year contract for that. #pisstheleague

JimmyC74 Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 12m decent business, but will the last player out turn off the lights.

Blue-fox Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Rudkin has played an absolute blinder here 12M for Mcateer
Finn Claw II Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 £12m - well done Rudders. If this helps us keep Bilal or simply gives us money to get a striker in then it is great business

Just watch us waste the money on rubbish like Bamford. Yes the worry is what the club is going to do with the money. Two or three up and coming players than can score/create and be a part of the future would be great. Buying older players on big wages that were great 3 or 4 years ago but are not playing much is the sort of unimaginative approach that I fear. 1
Bryn Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Pretty clear the club is in dire straits. Sell everything, play the kids, reset the whole club.
Popular Post UniFox21 Posted 22 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 22 August 2025 It's sad seeing an academy player, one who puts his all into every game, be sold on. We lack a lot of players who give a ****, so he will be missed. But £12m is a huge amount for him 8
The Hitman Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 I honestly think this is the first thread I’ve ever read on Foxestalk where everyone is actually positive about something.

LVFox Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 It’s a great price, but this is the trigger for me to be seriously concerned if it doesn’t lead to spending.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 Strange one, don't particularly rate him and I've never knowingly seen him beat a man on the wing. But I like him.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 This is good business for us. Kasey is a trier but the reality is, when we sub him on for either Mavididi or Fatawu, he doesn’t bring a sense of excitement like Monga- he is a squad player but realistically, isn’t a threat to the first team. £12m pure profit. Playing the market rather than hoarding.

Not that I’m against it but he’s 29 and there’s no sell on profit with him. We will no doubt give him a big money contract. I’d rather we look at players younger between 20-24 and potential to make a decent profit on them like we used to. 2

That’s all very well however I cannot see a title challenge appearing with no decent players can u ? 12m is decent doe for McAteer especially as he doesn’t play every week
sdb Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 12m is good money. But he's one of about 5 players that care about this club. A competent manager could also do wonders for his career. 1
Foxes96 Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 That was quick!! All the best Kasey, think this will be a good move for him as well. 1
ChrisFilter Posted 22 August 2025 Posted 22 August 2025 £12m is crazy money relative to what we’ve seen from him. But maybe not relative to his potential if a club like Ipswich have scouted him and are happy to pay it. Weird transfer. 1
