Good record in the last couple of seasons in the German and French 2nd tiers.  But their 2nd tiers are way off ours imo.

Bundesliga 2 isn’t that far off at all

Messaged my Schalke supporting coworker, he said that he's not the best finisher but he's quick, smart and has this uncanny way of reacting to rebounds and scoring.

Sounds familiar

Comments on that are surprisingly positive, and I dunno if I'm just excited at the option of somebody else up front but I'd definitely take him over Daka/Ayew as he actually scores a few chances in that video.

The miss at about 0:53 is horrendous

The comments are quite positive.

Notably: "He had the second-best goal conversion rate in the 2. Bundesliga last season with 28.07%. Only Davie Selke was better at 29.33%."

Think we are being used to push a deal through to another club again

I agree. Very highly doubt there’s any truth to this.

Just messaged my Jong FC Utrecht supporting mate and he said “Rot op, jij liegende kutwijf”.

Don’t listen to him mate you’re not that ugly

Was hoping for a more physical and powerful striker, but given his ability to play across both wings and up front I can see why we'd go for a utility striker.

NEW NAME.

But also, somehow, kind of an old name...?

...sorry, I'm in a Sylla mood.

(He does look an interesting prospect—I like the sound of him having a knack for getting on the end of rebounds etc)

Maybe we're going for one of them too, with Sylla also covering / rotating with Fatawu? I agree, I feel like we've needed a power forward-type striker for a while now. Was hoping it would be Koné, but that ship has sailed.

I hope to god we don't sign him otherwise I'll have to endure constant reminders of Surpise, Surprise and how a Cillagram ruined my childhood when my old man received one. Got terrorised at school for about a year as a result.

Would be less painful to give Daka a 5 year extension and have to watch that.

Get Selke in.

His main stats from last season, goalscoring numbers were decent, but doesn’t stand out in any other metric.

That is extremely worrisome. Does not look like the type of well rounded forward we desperately need. It's our achilles heel, not recruited a decent striker that's been a success here for over 11 years.
