I think he was a late loan signing

hence we were probably pushed into agreeing to things we didn’t want to

if there is a return clause then he’ll be on his way back or already gone.

Or you get a better deal as they wanted him off the books, squad places etc.

We've done it before, but I'm not saying we've got a better or worse deal because it was deadline day..as we would never find out that information.

It remains to be seen whether he'll be a permanent crock or not in fairness.

Plenty of players pick up injuries like he has after a long lay off. Justin and Ricardo were both the same after their injuries and both have gone on to prove their fitness.

It wouldn't surprise me if he can go on to have a full season next year after a proper pre-season.

That all being said, we should be sending him back to Burnley. He's not our player and we shouldn't be putting resources (wages) into someone that we're not getting a benefit from.

He wasn't stood around for that long. Players warm up and then go get changed for 10/15mins pre game

For someone that has a history of injuries and just come back from a hamstring injury in the cold too.

Surely he's back at Burnley for rehab. To the best of my knowledge the parent club normally likes to take responsibility of the players recovery. I'd imagine this is an insurance requirement too as they'll likely want Burnley to have a paper trail of his treatment in case any such injury leads to him having to retire.

You feel if we did have the option to send him back the reports about the injury might have some suggestions of that. We very clearly don’t, why would we, be far to sensible.

As much as I dislike Rudkin, this was actually a good signing and worth the risk imo.

The fact we have so little wriggle room for comings and goings in the first place is the problem. There will always be some signings that don't work out, no matter how well the club is being run.

It's a concern that he only lasted 5 minutes after returning though.

Was going to say something similar (without giving Rudkin any credit though lol)

We only have 2 loans so we know there is plenty of capacity for us to bring some in from that perspective.

So it comes down to cost and wages. Ramsey is quite young and coming from Burnley. We can read between the lines and know he will hardly be on high wages.

If we can’t bring a couple of loans because of not being able to send back a loanee on modest wages compared to many of our squad, Ramsey isn’t really the issue is he….

That is correct

The Spaniard also confirmed that there are no intentions to cut ties with Aaron Ramsey, despite the midfielder being ruled out until late February with a recurrence of his hamstring injury.

“We think he (Ramsey) can still recover in time to help the team. It’s a big blow, for himself, for all of us. He has the talent to be an important player.

“We think he can make it to be part of the last stage of the season.” We need to see how it develops. It’s a muscular injury.”

Brilliant...we're hoping to lose some (winks, Bouba, Faes) and not even ridding us of unavailable players...100% getting weaker here.

Let's just add keeping Ramsey and paying the wages of a crocked loan player to the growing list of LCFC cock ups.

Hey we should expect nothing less

Send him back, and put his and the wages of "Hoolian" towards a player who actually makes it onto the pitch.

The lad is a bit fragile and IMO he hasn't really  pulled up any tree's and isn't lightyear's ahead of Page.

It’s quite like Ramsey gets injured again. We’ll look silly if he plays 30 minutes and is ruled out for the season

Almost all season long loan deals include a terminate clause in January so for us not to include one is absolutely shocking but at the same time not surprising.

Rudkin you are absolutely useless.

Sounds more like Rudkin didn't negotiate a break clause, so now we're stuck with him. Marti's covering for his boss by saying we need Ramsey, so wont be sending him back.

Love the way Foxestalk posters know the intimate details of Ramsey's loan deal.

Does insurance cover wages when players are out injured? If we aren't tight on loan spaces and his wages are covered whilst injured then I can see why we aren't sending him back.

Doubt it, otherwise we’d be hosting training sessions on Mont Blanc to stock duty free with Larb sticks.
