Popular Post StanSP Posted 20 September 2025 Popular Post Posted 20 September 2025 Kristiansen should not be starting ahead of Thomas. Not sure why the latter gets such a rough ride, like today he was fine albeit nothing special (but as a LB in this system you don't need to be Roberto Carlos levels...). If anything Kristiansen is worse... 41 2
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 20 September 2025 Posted 20 September 2025 I can see Mavididi being dropped but...for BDR not Monga. I think Cifuentes is reluctant to start Monga still. Definitely Ayew needs to not be up front. He works hard but he's never ever in the box. So Carranza in. I can't see Ayew being dropped from the starting 11 though 1

RoboFox Posted 20 September 2025 Posted 20 September 2025 (edited) Ayew always looks most effective out wide. Start him on the wing instead of Mavididi. Carranza up top. Edited 20 September 2025 by RoboFox

Storlarczyk Ricardo Faes Vestergaard Kristiansen Winks James Fatawu Ayew Monga Carranza In terms of what is realistic (I.e not going to be putting Nelson in my line up as he is clearly done here), this is what I’d go for other than keeping Mavididi at LW. I think he looks shot of confidence but started to grow into the game. He was starting to take on his man and get more involved. He then had the shocking miss which he rushed, looked like due to confidence, and was hooked. It feels like he needs to play back into form and if he does get a goal, that could ignite him. Also think Monga has been really effective coming on but not as much when he did start. I just feel it works as it in in that position at the moment and maybe if we are playing James and Winks in the middle and Carranza up top, it will benefit Mav as well. But I get others will want to see that change made and understand it. 1

Gazza M Posted 21 September 2025 Posted 21 September 2025 Luke Thomas has been very steady defensively. Not a great deal gets passed him down that side. VK on the other hand is a sucker to the diagonal ball over his head, quite often will watch the first ball bounce rather than dealing with it also. I would rather have defensive quality over the fact VK does the odd overlap. Same back 4 for WBA for me. 2
LVFox Posted 21 September 2025 Posted 21 September 2025 Only change I’d really make is Hamza for Ricky. Wrexham at home is where I’d bring Monga, Carranza and maybe Kristiansen in.
lanefox Posted 21 September 2025 Posted 21 September 2025 Two things we know for sure Soumare will be in the midfield and Ayew will be starting 1
john ridley Posted 21 September 2025 Posted 21 September 2025 Gonna miss Vardy scoring and winding them up . 3
The Doctor Posted 21 September 2025 Posted 21 September 2025 need someone to take up the mantle of bullying those two specific fans in the Birmingham Road end now Vardys gone.

Jobyfox Posted 21 September 2025 Posted 21 September 2025 Fix the two things that need most fixing from the Coventry game and I’ll be impressed with MC. If he doesn’t I’ll be disappointed. 1. Ayew can’t start as striker - Carranza’s audition was probably enough to justify a try 2: Mavs poor form - I’ve advocated not starting Monga to make sure that we look after him, but we can’t continue to carry SM. Probably needs someone else to start left whether it’s JM, BDCR or Ayew The manager clearly loves Ayew so there is an option to play him in the 10 position and drop Soumare or play him on the left and drop Mavididi. To be honest I’m not 100% sure of the solutions myself but, as stated, I just want Marti to do something that suggests he understands the issues. His changes in midfield (Winks and James in) already indicate he’s a proactive manager 2

Blueman1967 Posted 21 September 2025 Posted 21 September 2025 Carranza for Ayew, Monga for Mavididi, bring Ayew on later to hold the ball up, if we are in front. 1
