Watching the replay of their goal it looks likes Faes loses his footing on his right side and throws out the left in desperation- still not great. Either Vesty or Bouba should have cleared them out when the flick happens.

I agree about Ayew, obviously.  Sourmare has been fine, certainly good enough performances for the Championship (I haven’t seen anything better from any other midfielder we’ve played including tonight).  I just don’t think the overall performance is as bad as people are making out.  Ifs and buts, but if it was 0-0 at half time I imagine most would be confident we’d win this in the second half.  I’m pretty confident we will at least draw.

Important to remember from a wingers perspective, if you know your striker is **** your going to end up trying to miss him out and go for goal yourself, the longer this game goes on with Ayew up front…the more long range punts we’ll see from Mav and Abdul.

Page was largely ineffective during his spell in the team.

Their time will never come if they aren't played. They are exactly the players who should be coming on for the last 20 minutes gaining the experience and showing tired legs something difeerent

For those saying that we’re unlucky or it’s been our best first half all season must have been watching something different to me.

 

What clear chances have we created?

 

It reminds me of my last few years at Sunday league, we had some very good players but most of our legs had gone compared to the 18/20 year olds just being able to run more, so often created very little but ended up losing to individual errors/worldies etc.

I'm no tactical expert but it seems to me that pushing the 3 CMs forward, which then drags the defence higher isn't the right way to go. Particularly with the football equivalent of an oil tanker
