A lot has been spoken about on the ‘football has moved on’ front, do we really think someone who hasn’t managed a football club in 4/5 years, who had health problems etc is the right option?

Pearson from 10 years ago is the person we need now, but is Pearson from now that? And even if it is, is it realistic?

The answer to your question is i don't know/ maybe not but id definitely be up for giving it a go.

People often make the mistake of jumping Pearson in with the old fashioned English managers mainly because under him we played 4-4-2/4-4-1-1.

However he really isn't and has never been old fashioned. He has always been promoting sports science/sports physiology and pushed the club to build and progress in this direction to help the players technically and mentally improve.

He was also a big champion of the analytics and data science used in scouting and him along with Steve Walsh helped build a possibly World leading scouting team of the back of that.

So yes he's been out of football for a few years but he has never been old fashioned when it has come to keeping up with the times where football is concerned

Steve Bruce in until the end of the decade.

Walsh (Steve, the ex player) in as DOF

Harold Shipman to head a new medical team

After Fuchs smashes it at Newport, he goes somewhere else because he isn’t mental.

His real skill WAS doing that, is it now?

Should he be a consultant? 100%, the rest seems a complete pipe dream to me.

Man management isn't a skill you lose, neither is recognising how to put together an elite team.

The football tactics side does change and not all managers can adapt.

That being said, yes it is a pipedream as he would be too much of a challenge to JR. It is clear that Rudkin has outgrown his role at LCFC and is in desperate need of a promotion to King Power, hopefully Top realises this.

Out of contract in the summer.

I’m sure there was a suggestion on here that he would never work with rudkin.

Make Rudkin manager.

He either does spectacularly well and has to stay as manager with a competent DoF above him to sort out the rest of the club or he fails and gets the sack at the end of the season. And as a bonus we get to chant at him every week.

I would be all in for Pearson coming in as interim to support King, but not keen on a long term managerial contract. Would love it if the interim fed into him becoming technical director.

I dont think many will do interim though, so im less keen on Rowett and Mowbray.

I would say Graeme Souness at this moment in time.

Or Simon Grayson.

If not either of those two then an honest opinion who I’d like to be is Jewelleh , Paul Jewell

Don't be surprised to see Graham Alexander linked; purely based on something I heard from a friend. I'm putting it out there. I don't know what he's like as a manager and pass no comment.
