Kingy may not be an experienced manager, and didn't want the job, but surely he should have done better.

 

He is a hugely experienced professional ex-footballer and should have much more nous about how matches pan out.  Most people on here saw immediately the error in trying to hang on to a lead instead of continuing to look for goals, having witnessed so frequently over tha last few years and managers that this strategy almost always fails.  When bringing on Lascelles it was obvious that should have been as a straight replacement for Okoli, not as a means to weaken our attacking intent.  And as for bringing on Ayew ...

 

Why are ex-footballers with so much match experience over the years unable to show the same awareness?

Those second half tactics reminded me of the Sadler and Stowell game (Brentford away?) But to take off evwry attacker when you're clinging on is football suicide.

 

That said,he shouldnt be in this position. 3 weeks drifting with no plan, no replacement manager, when the club is on its arse is criminal.

 

I feel for the guy, its like having the boy scouts leading you through the Amazon. He's as out of his depth as Top and Rudkin.

Hardly his fault, he shouldn't even still be in the job. Caretaker should be for a game, maaaaybe two if the schedule is tough when the sacking comes. Anything else and, much like is the case here, the board has ****ed up and not had a plan.

He really really got them second half changes wrong!

 

Aluko and Kristensen (sp) were warming up early in the second half with Riccy and Luke blowing but somehow he ended up keeping both on. 
 

mukasa was class and it showed when he departed what he was doing whilst being in there. 
 

Silko Thomas I genuinely don’t know what position he’s supposed to play just a nothing player and then to Bring Ayew on FFS! 😡 

 

The same way he got us to the 3-0 lead and deserves his praise for that he always deserves to be pummelled for the second half tactics too, Showing that he’s out of his depth.

Whilst some of tonight’s events are on Kingy, you expect professional footballers to have enough about them to see it out at 3-1 with ten minutes to go. 
 

These lot are thick, 51 goals against, there’s a few of them not even good enough for league one right now.

I don't want to blame him too much. The first half showed his passion to get the players going. The second half showed he's got no experience as a manager.

King should absolutely walk away from this and refuse to be a scapegoat for these owners. Hes out of his depth and the owners have taken advantage of a man they knew wouldnt leave the club without a manager.

Ayew is on a massive wage and was brought in to be a Premier League player. It is absolutely not Andy King's fault that Jordan Ayew has zero professionalism. 

Richard’s should of come on instead, that’s Kings fault, not sure what wages have to do with it. It was the wrong call as everyone knows Ayew is a waste of time.
