Yeah, as posted above there is plenty off examples where people have transcended sports, don't really think its relevant. Woodward is just one example, But I am quite example Brailsford hasn't seen more success at United - maybe they're just a rotten apple.

AZ Aalkmar's sporting director worked in cycling beforehand, he's doing a good job

Depends what they walk into though. You can learn the ropes at a club that already was pretty well run.  So the guy going to Brighton will be fine.

if we tried that with our dumpster fire that’s a different situation entirely

Oh yeah that’s what I was referring to, I want domain authority experts from within football to be our DoF, CEO and so on.

We need to nail the basics, not semi-promote Rudkin and give him a minion with a background in a different, non-DoF role. Not give a call centre Thai the interim MD gig.

Week number nine, and still no sign of a technical director.

Read it in a big brother voice if it helps.

This nonexistent position that Top tried to pull the wool over our eyes with.

Let’s be real, anyone with half a brain would run a mile after talking to us.

You can imagine him being briefed of the etiquette around 'Top'

addressing him as 'his wise and wonderful worshipfullness' / don't look him in the eye / to fall silent and bow as he walks past ....

anyone even remotely normal would, as you say, run a mile..

All roads lead to an ex employee of Leicester City IMO

I would love for it to be Rob Mackenzie, I'm guessing your suggesting it wont be as inspiring?

Recruiters have began the searches for a CEO this week and got in touch with some potential candidates.

We are moving at snails pace.

I know you mentioned more recent ones on the pod. But barraclough does a SD role in Scotland I believe. Not saying he’s the man but wouldn’t surprise me.

It’s true, I got headhunted for it. Politely declined and said I was happy running my local bowls club.

Srivaddhanapraha insists he is working hard to improve the club’s set-up. The appointment of the club’s first ever technical director, who will report directly to Rudkin, is close, while a new chief executive and commercial director will be appointed soon.

No one should report to Rudkin. Rudkin should report to no one.

Ergo, he should be fired and that would go someway to it being a successful overhaul.
