Nelson, Stolarczyk, and Faes are fit to play

Soumare is a doubt

I was hoping Faes would be out so that Marti would be forced to pick Aluko as a CB. I suppose this means that Nelson could come into the team instead, but it's going to be Faes and Vestergaard again isn't it?

Will be interesting to see if Winks plays. If Soumare was available, I think that him and Skipp would be in, but I imagine Marti will be cautious instead.

Marti talking about problems existing at the club pre him after subbing Winks and Faes at half time only to bring them straight back into the starting line up the next week wouldn’t be ideal.

Foxes in League One? Out of your mind, says James

Jordan James is on loan at Leicester from French club Rennes

ByAndrew Aloia, BBC Sport, East Midlands and Owynn Palmer-Atkin, BBC Radio Leicester

Midfielder Jordan James says the thought of Leicester City suffering back-to-back relegations to plummet into League One defies logic - and insists Foxes players are "only looking up" the Championship table.

Defeats by Southampton and Sheffield United last week – two games in which Leicester conceded three first-half goals in each – has the East Midlands club just six places and seven points above the relegation spots.

But Wales international James described the second-tier standings as "carnage", pointing out that 16th-placed Leicester remaining closer to the play-off spots after 18 games - with Bristol City, in sixth spot, being just five points better off.

"If you think Leicester can be in League One, then you have lost your mind," the 21-year-old told BBC Radio Leicester.

"The players we have got are Premier League players and it will show. I genuinely believe that.

"I won't let that [relegation to League One] happen, a lot of players won't let that happen, the leaders in the group won't let it happen.

"For us, we are only looking up. It can change very quickly."

Cifuentes focused on results not Leicester's legal case

And while the threat of a points penalty for alleged breaches of spending rules - which Leicester is locked in a legal battle with the Premier League over - shrouds the club's true position in uncertainty, James insists the off-field challenges are not a distraction.

"We don't really think about the points deduction, we are focused on where we are now, how many points we have now and how many points we need to get to where we want to get to," he told BBC East Midlands Today.

"If the points deduction comes, then we will deal with it then. For now, it's out of our control."

For a Leicester side that has stuttered on its return to the Championship this season, summer loan addition James has been a reliable and often outstanding performer.

His thumping 83rd-minute finish against Sheffield United gave Leicester hope of rescuing a result on Saturday after Stephy Mavididi had already pulled a goal back for the hosts.

But there was no more late drama as the Blades hung on for a 3-2 win that piled pressure on Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes.

James defended his manager, saying the second-half performance at the weekend was proof of the Foxes' unity.

"We are focused on getting three points for us as a team and for him, because he deserves it," he added.

"The other day [being 3-0 down at the break] wasn't good enough, and we know it wasn't good enough. We apologise to the fans for that first 10 minutes.

"At half-time we said, 'this is not who we are, who we want to be'. And we showed that in the second half, the fight was completely different.

"We know the fans are frustrated, we can see it and we can feel it. And it is our job to go and change that."

Lose this and we’ve lost more games than we’ve won.

The fact we've only won 6 games so far is criminal.

Add to that we've dropped points to 4 out of the 8 teams currently below us.

I can't see us winning at Derby but you never know...

Start Skipp and Nelson as cbs.
Send a message to those 2 clowns Marti.
He won’t though.
It’s pissing me off already that he’ll start Faes and Vesty.

If he starts Faes and Vestergaard after the last two games I will assume that Marti either wants the sack or is being told he has to play them. I would have dismissed either of these suggestions as nonsense until recently, but if those two are in the starting 11 on Saturday I can't think of any other explanations that would make sense.

It's got to be this in the hope we can get some cash for them in January as they'll be fit to play but not so fit compete.

Surely their value drops every time they play? Better to keep them hidden.

He’s got to show some authority.
But guaranteed he’ll persist with Faes and Vesty.
