Hes off to Charlton. Lazy journalism with the Marti the P.E teachers links

Not even a good move for Charlton tbh. At League 2 he’d probably be a goalscoring beast but at Championship level his record speaks for itself.

That and a load of lazy thinking and hysterical reactions on here.

Inevitable but I’d still take it over him actually joining us. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hope he gets at least 3

Well....Did score at an close to acceptable rate at QPR (Circs 12 goals a season) and with the wingers we have he is the kind of striker we need,  I can see the thinking behind it.

But yes all in all it's a very underwhelming player to be linked with, but then I think anyone waiting for us to go and buy someone with a great goal scoring record is going to be sorely disappointed. We are just trying to sign better than we have (not difficult) not a prolific striker, as it's all we can afford.

Gone Charlton apparently so never mind.

Last 3 season 8,8,6 with QPR

for context Ayew is on course to beat that total and is universally hated

Last 3 seasons Bamford had 4, 8, 0 but some are saying they would have taken him due to his start with Sheff U :dunno:

I what to say “and that’s with a worse team” but I’m not sure I can… 😬

2 and 4 was premier league seasons, 8 in the champ

the 0 was in 275 minutes last year where he was injured a lot.

At his age vardy had only scored 34 premier league goals.

Too many on this board are writing this guy off too early IMO.

A lot on here said Bamford was past it and we shouldn't touch him with a barge pole. That's the same Bamford who's got 6 goals in 11 games for the Blades. Depends on whether the player is a good role for the squad more than their past performance.

Dykes probably wouldn't have been prolific for us but he's known for having a good work rate, being physical and decent in the air. All of which could be useful for us.

Also worth considering that as we've got Maccies Happy Meal Money to spend we aren't going to get a Michelin Star offering.

This would be a rough signing for League One, let alone the Championship.

We'd probably pay him borderline Premier League wages too.

Depressing to think he would still be our best centre forward though.
