The first half they pressed, passed the ball and actually supported each other in attacks.  Musaka was playing the ball into space ahead for Daka and even Thomas to run into and stretched the defence and more importantly kept the ball away from the areas they usually make mistakes.

The 2nd half they stopped pressing, sat back, passed around in dangerous areas, inviting the pressure allowing SOTON play.  Thomas making stupid mistakes again when he’s defending.

It was like watching two different teams. If he didn’t want them to play like that in the 2nd half he should have taken control. The changes he made allowed them to sit back even deeper and he allowed the tired and thick full backs to be under constant pressure.

Ayew was embarrassing, giving away fouls and not even able to do what people say is his skill.

Fatawu, Ricky P and Nelson are mainly to blame for 3 goals IMO.

1. Not stopping the cross.

2. Nelson was also very poor on 2 goals with a very weak header and just falling over on their winner.

Anyway King isn't a tactical genius he's just an academy coach.

Sounds like we lost control of the 2nd half well before King made any changes, but this doesn't give the players any excuses, they're lazy *****, bottlers who can't defend.

Regardless of who we appoint we're not recovering from this loss and going down.

The players have no character or fight for this, majority are academy players or overpaid and running their contract down.

Watched the highlights numerous times to check I wasn't dreaming it all, but the defending was worse then Sunday pub league football you have five defenders in front of the goal and not one of them near to the ball, goal keeper flaps the ball, gifts a goal, Thomas falls over like a girl blown over by a puff of wind.

What does these players actually do in training, even i watching the lcfc training sessions, it all looks pretty laid back and the performance on the pitch seems to back that up.

I thought we had state of the art technology that tracked the performance of every player and how they can improve, if you do suggest the club asks for the money back as it's clearly not working.

Rant over have a good day 😊 all

I made a very last minute decision to

go last night.

I made £30 betting on the draw at HT and cashing in before they got their 4th.

It’s not the losing so much but it seems like it’s been years since I was truly entertained by going to a game.

The relegation season under Rodgers.

The dull attritional, albeit successful, promotion under Maresca.

The subsequent relegation last year.

This season.

I go to a lot of concerts, sporting events, theatre etc and all of those entertain me more than watching the city has in years.

It just feels like I’m wasting my time making the effort to go down.

There’s losing, and then there’s whatever that was. I’m a member not a sT holder but i went to Oxford and Charlton, and i thought that was bad but this really takes the biscuit. I'd rather save the money to fund the plane or whatever other protests are happening towards the running of the club. These players just don’t care enough, red cards, individual errors, not stopping crosses, not tackling, not running, why does the team look absolutely gassed beyond the 45 minute mark too? It's diabolical. I won’t be going anywhere near the King Power for the rest of the season unless it's for a protest, and I won’t be watching on TV either. I love this club but I’ve had enough for my own sanity. I can't stand it anymore

I wonder how many southampton fans left at half time, a midweek game with a long drive back home.  Imagine listening to a once in a lifetime comeback whilst driving home.

An incredible night where we saw the best and worst of us. A first half full of commitment, desire and quality followed by the complete opposite. The crucial part was how long we could keep it at 3-1, as soon as the second went in we were done and it was a matter of when.

All.the encouraging signs ruined by a spectacular collapse. Even more convinced we are heading for relegation.

Nelson's lack of awareness is becoming a liability. He is poor in or near the goal area/6-yard box, loses his man routinely, which has lead to several goals already, and directly to at least one goal yesterday. He is also slow. Everyone will make mistakes, but for him it's becoming a system. i hope he is able to turn this around.

Pereira should be released as soon as a decent replacement is found. He is a caricature of himself at this point.

The mad thing is Begovic made 2 or 3 cracking saves

Did he? I thought the one in the first half was good but really should have been saving. None of them were better than anything Jakub had done.

Not many, if any, I was impressed, our lot would’ve walked out at 2

The difference being as a leicester fan you knew they'd go on to lose 5-0.

Read the match thread. He played well yesterday up until the last 10 minutes when the entire team shit the bed. People were rightly praising him.

I was at the match and thought the same. But you could literally say that about the entire team. Reality is he can’t be that good as he’s still part of a defence that hasn’t kept a clean sheet in 26. Hence my question.

Very out of the Rodgers book to try and shut up shop and fail. Common denominator would be Adam Sadler.

this is something that occurred to me when I was having my morning constitutional
Once Brendan realised that we couldn’t defend, we eventually moved to a more basketball method of trying to outscore the opposition

that didn’t work either

however, I hadn’t thought about Sadler

I’d like to think you thought the word “Brendan” at the exact moment the mothership splashed down.

I questioned Nelson but got piled on.

Too much effort to bring up all his defence errors now. Hes the next John Terry after all.
