We must be mad!! Replacing one ex-player for another.

When will the hierarchy of this Club begin to realise it's not always a change of manager that is required.

They'd to better looking at the playing personnel.

could literally have been in office 20 days ago. Let's be honest, we've pissed around trying to tempt someone who'd never come here and wasted three winnable games and a cup fixture for ironing out any issues

There's a right way, a wrong way and then there is the Leicester way.

Scraping the barrel but our options are limited by how the club is currently ran. :dunno:

Every man and his dog knows that it is a sh*t show at present.

Any decent manager with a bit of common sense would give us a wide berth.

I'm sure that the dog was interviewed and turned us down.

Think there is a real opportunity for a manager to achieve icon status at this club over the next couple of seasons…….although big challenge.  Not convinced that will be Rowett but alternatives don’t seem that inspiring either.

This is almost certainly what’s happened. But who was it? Skubala?!

Rowett’s getting a lot of ‘he got sacked by Oxford’ shouts as to why people don’t want him which I completely get from looking at the outer picture.

It’s worth noting that he got sacked in his second season at Oxford.

In his first season with Oxford he came in midway through the season replacing Des Buckingham with them just outside the bottom 3 and here’s his record from 20th Dec until the end of last season where he kept them up.

Games: 25
9 wins
8 draws
8 losses

Other noticeable stat: 9 clean sheets in that time.

Lots of 0-0’s and 1-0 wins in there

There’s obviously the contrast that he had hungry L1 players with a point to prove instead of our checked out prima-donna’s but if he gets into them and manages to make us harder to beat ( not difficult from where we’re at currently) then short term he could be an option

"Gary Rowett is a pragmatic manager known for building solid, defensively sound teams"

Well good luck with that, because its not going to work here lol

I feel this will end how Thomas Frank ended at Spurs, bringing in a manager that is unsuitable for the squad at hand.

Underwhelming but necessary, on balance. I don't believe it is a feeling of entitlement to question why we need Gary Robert to firefight for us. It is symbolic of the relative depths we have already dropped to.

I wish him well, we are a very difficult assignment for any manager given what is above and below him in the hierachy. An unpleasant run of matches until Easter, too.

King might just be part of the same malaise that has permeated all players and staff. He's been involved throughout our worst period maybe ever and has lost four out of four. We can not do any worse than that.

It’s not as easy getting rid of playing personnel though, particularly when they’re on ridiculous contracts. Roll on the summer when we can ditch a few.
Unfortunately it’s always the manager who will be the fall guy,  however Marti had to go and Kingy was struggling to say the least.

Let me get this straight....

Sean Dyche and Gary Rowett are available.

Flop and Dudkin chose Rowett out of those two?

FFS!

Do you seriously think Dyche would come to us?
He’s an established PL manager and he’s just had a massive pay off. Literally in the past couple of weeks.  Why on earth would he take on a job managing a team in chaos and facing relegation to league 1, rather than sitting at home, counting his money, and waiting for the next PL sacking?
