If Kevin Davies was the stand out candidate  why not appoint him the moment Susan Whelan left, instead Aiyawatt moved into the Interim CEO role. Just feels like these appointments will reaffirm his control and he can carry on regardless.

Nothing changes if nothing changes and let’s be honest the three most senior roles in this reshuffle Chief Football Officer, CEO and MD are all current employees and very close to the current ownership.

Similar story as with Rowett. Acting without a plan and without thinking. Delusional as to where we are and what candidates we could attract.

As with the manager  situation,I take it no one wanted it and they were turned down, bearing  in mind they said they'd  pay for the right candidate. What a ****ed up mess we are .

Or it was always going to be this and Aiyawatt wanted to surround himself with people who just nod and say yes but wanted to make it look like a full blown process.

I actually think Davies and Rudkin have been in post since Whelan left and it’s been more about waiting for McCarron and the Commercial Director to start before making the full announcement.

I have read Rudkin’s statement and I am 99% certain that has come out of ChatGPT and as for Aiyawatt saying Jon is the perfect person for our the next stage of growth for the club as we sit in our lowest position for years is frankly ridiculous and yet again ill advised.

having slept on it and watched the reaction in more happy clappy places, this set of appointments is fantastic. Not in the short term or the sense of them being good at their jobs of course, but there's a real sea change of the "Rudkins the problem, not king power" lot finally waking up and smelling the roses. More of the fanbase is on the verge of turning against the idiot son rather than defending him because his dad wasn't shit

Alex Herrick - apologies if you are mates with him but anyone who talks about themselves in the 3rd person on LinkedIn are generally complete w@nkers - in my experience, as they tend to lack any self confidence so have to try and propel themselves via LinkedIn as though they have someone writing the bio for them - another LinkedIn pet hate of mine.

Definitely not mates, just know him from school back in the day lol big fan of old make believe creator of the universe… might all need to believe in him soon to be fair lol

I’ve really no idea what a chief footballing officer does. Lots of jargon about strategic direction etc. Leicester are not an elite club and surely cannot waste money on layers of executive posts. We need basic stuff such as players that can score goals and defend properly but that has been ignored all season

Neither does the man in the role, don’t worry.

So Rudkin  is the perfect  person for growth, what line  will we hear when we're  in league 1,even he'll  run out of time /chances.

Even when he does leave it’ll be for “health reasons” and he’ll end up leaving in peace, no criticism, no remorse.

Talking about establishing ourselves as a steady Prem outfit again. We haven't achieved that this year in the Championship. He is talking 5 steps ahead. Want to hear them say they are supporting Gary Rowett to achieve safety this season. Dillusional. The most realistic action will be to assemble a squad to get out of league 1 first.

There will be freaks that believe those words because they were said. Now everything is ok and we're going to get better. 'Keep the faith'.

There's always a new example/analogy popping into my head with this shitshow.

Today's is when Ndidi's form was falling off a cliff. Going from being one of the best at what he did in the PL to around that time where he was woeful and fans were saying we needed to upgrade/replace him.

If a single player was replaceable and 'not up to it', why do fans back Top when he is no longer (arguably never was) up to this job, with a much more important role?

We have fans that will boo or moan about individual players form, yet will back this regime.. because? Well, just because.

I’ve said elsewhere but the presentation all of it is piss poor.

You want people to buy into a new stage, use interviews and video. Not AI influenced quotes and photos from four years.

They ain’t getting it at the level below, let alone board level

Mad isn't it. Seen this sort of thing at other clubs and they'd have an impromptu fans forum Q&A, videos, interviews etc etc. It's all just so bloody boring.

I’ve really no idea what a chief footballing officer does.

I’ve previously posted what the roles typically do

A typical breakdown of the roles

Chairman – Khun “Top” Srivaddhanaprabha
•    Sets overall vision and strategy for the club and signs off on major decisions (senior appointments, big transfers, major investments).
•    Chairs the board, represents the owners, and is the ultimate decision-maker above both the CEO and Chief Football Officer.

CEO (Business) – Kevin Davies
•    Leads all corporate affairs: finances, budgets, commercial deals, stadium/venue operations, retail, HR, legal, and administration.
•    Responsible for financial sustainability (PSR/FFP compliance), overall business strategy, and aligning all non-football departments behind the club’s long-term plan.

Chief Football Officer – Jon Rudkin
•    Overall charge of all football activities: men’s, women’s, and pathways/academy, sitting above the Sporting Director and football departments.
•    Sets high-level football strategy and governance, liaises with the board on football matters, and line-manages the Sporting Director.

Sporting Director – James McCarron
•    Runs day-to-day football operations on the men’s side: performance and player trading.
•    Leads recruitment and squad building: scouting profiles, transfers in and out, loans, and contract renewals, aligned to a clear playing identity and long-term plan.
•    Works with the head coach and academy so first team, B team and youth pathway all fit one football philosophy.

Interim Managing Director – Kamonthip Netthanomsak
•    Acts as an executive link between the chairman and club operations during the transition, helping implement the new structure.
•    Oversees and coordinates business/operational departments alongside the CEO role, making sure day-to-day running matches the board’s direction.

Commercial Director – Russell Jones
•    Responsible for revenue-generating activities: sponsorship, partnerships, ticketing/marketing strategy, retail and brand growth.
•    Reports into the business side (under the CEO), tasked with growing income to support the football budget and long-term sustainability.

Yes but how do we know these are their responsibilities FOR SURE? We shouldn't speculate.

They have appointed as CEO the man they took no notice of when he was Finance Director. Presumably that is why he has the promotion; that and the fact that he was the only one willing to be a witness (and therefore the only one subject to cross examination in the Commission hearing). Everton had their Director of Football give evidence on the club's player trading strategy and efforts to comply with the rules, among others. Nick de Marco ran Nottingham's case too, where Vrentzos gave evidence as the former CEO and member of the Board of Directors throughout the relevant PSR assessment period. Rudkin bottled it and was nowhere to be seen, doubtless because he either refused or de Marco realised he would be a terrible witness. So step forward Kevin as our sole witness.

"Mr Davies explained that he prepared financial scenarios and advised LCFC’s owners that substantial player sales would be required in January and June 2024 to comply with the ULT. No transfers occurred in the January 2024 window, leaving LCFC reliant on the June 2024 window to avoid breach “by a very large amount”. He accepted that he repeatedly advised management that LCFC would breach the ULT absent significant player-sale profits. He also accepted that the EFL had indicated it would apply a 37-month assessment period for the FY24 assessment, notwithstanding that LCFC submitted its forecast on a 36-month basis."

Yep, that's the man to lead the organise and to stand up to the Board, if necessary.......

Oh dear, even though its seems someones finally pulled their fingers out of their backsides and got some structure and bodies in place, its the type of post none of us want to read as it does mean Top isn't going nowhere.

I know the protests will continue but with these additions in club structure, Top aint for leaving even with a continued protests IMO. His TV interview stated "We need to get help for John(Rudkin), when I saw that I knew we were buggered. Since his father died and other trusted senior people left, it seems he only trusts Rudkin and still believes in him.

I may be in the minority here but with the people announcement. I think we pivot and pull all energies in the players and trying to stay up. It will be disastrous if this group goes down as we lose some of our best youngsters. You can tell the players are feeling the pressure and hating the situation that they are in as it all feels very toxic. There isnt much smiling going on at the club which is Ironic when you think of our anthem!!

Never mind re-arranging the deckchairs on the titanic, this is plumping up and changing the colour of the cusions on those deckchairs.

Mind bogglingly staggering.

James McCarron's main role as SD is to be the mouth piece and barrier for Rudkin who seemingly has a phobia about talking to the press or facing the public.

As things continually go wrong on the football side, there's no real justification of thinking that it will improve based on JMs role at Lommel (Belgian second division club Lommel SK, part of City Football Group, is currently suffering a net loss of 20.5 million euros after 3.5 years of mismanagement by James McCarron) it will be JMs role to be the public face of the Men's football and to put a positive spin on the failure that is likely to continue.

We'll never see Rudkin face the press or the fans.
