sharpylcfc Posted 8 June Posted 8 June Hopefully the useless clown Martin goes Burnley so we don't have to suffer him. 1

The club is the pits though, for sure. Puel started the transition. Agree Rodgers played Good football. Until that Man City game, I think. When he went in with a new philosophy. Agree I was referencing the current owner, and his obsession with the style of play. The stats show we have been in decline also.

I don't like the guy but he is probably better than whatever dross Rudkin has lined up for 2nd choice. This guy who was Rudds assistant at Man Utd, we tried the main man, lets try the coach as he a bit foreign and beat us once. Clearly still on Rudkin recruitment logic. Happily take that on.
Mike Oxlong Posted Tuesday at 01:51 Posted Tuesday at 01:51 I wonder if Top and Rudkin have asked themselves why in less than ten years the Leicester manager's job has gone from one of the most attractive jobs in football to something of a poisoned chalice. Any manager now appointed will be expected to achieve immediate promotion from the perspective of most outsiders and probably by the owner too, notwithstanding the lack of talent, money and leadership that presently afflict us.
Popular Post fox_favourite Posted Tuesday at 03:17 Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 03:17 This will be embarrassing if we haven't got a manager in the next week or so. There is so much work to and they've had time to sort it. Even Stockport are more efficient than us. We've got players to move on, a squad to assemble, preseason to plan for, preseason games to arrange. Other teams are starting to do this, but not us. This is a big summer, probably the biggest in recent history that we can't get wrong and it feels like we're dilly-dallying around with someone who doesn't want it....again Or they're on their holidays and not really taking it seriously at all. I hope to see a manager in place soon and players starting to move on and being linked with replacements. It has to be a busy summer to change our fortunes, at he moment it screams incompetence...AGAIN 5

BlueBus Posted Tuesday at 05:52 Posted Tuesday at 05:52 (edited) How are Burnley interested? There's something about this bloke I'm not seeing. 6 wins in his last 33 games. We sacked Cooper whilst he was higher in the league than him. None of his ex-clubs like him. Edited Tuesday at 05:56 by BlueBus
Blarmy Posted Tuesday at 06:14 Posted Tuesday at 06:14 Starting to wonder if these links are red herrings.
FoxKent_88 Posted Tuesday at 06:26 Posted Tuesday at 06:26 (edited) 2023/24 championship stats arguably more relevant. I'm sure they'll say Russell Martin's Southampton were ranked No1 for dominant possession, shots on target / xG but ranked poorly for tackles, interceptions and frequently conceding goals from errors as we've all seen with his brand of high risk bait football. Great when it works, horrific when it doesn't. Edited Tuesday at 06:26 by FoxKent_88 1

It’s the one relatively modern & smart thing the club have done in the past. Leak an idea and gauge fan reaction. Definitely could be. Only issue is they likely don’t have a plan B. 2
Popular Post Muzzy_no7 Posted Tuesday at 07:24 Author Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 07:24 50, yes FIFTY days since we were relegated. 39 days since the last game. Pre season starts in 21 days, 3 weeks… First League gameweek is in 55 days. What the f*** are the club doing? What HAVE they done? 7

But I think what we are surprised about is it seems they don't learn. Just for context. Not that i'm saying whats going on is right. Enzo was appointed 16th June Cooper 20th June Pearson last time in league 1 20th June. So if we go beyond next week they really haven't learnt from last summer. Edited Tuesday at 07:32 by teblin

Great when it works, horrific when it doesn't. Maybe we should hire Roy Keane based on that one season he had at Sunderland. His entire career is built around an amazing 25 game unbeaten streak, which is impressive but this is how they finished that season.

So if we go beyond next week they really haven't learnt from last summer. Enzo was brought in less than 3 weeks after relegation and it took a while to sort out all his coaching staff. There was loads of faff around the Pooper appointment. We refused to pay a small fee for Corberan and his men. Steve’s coaching staff also took a while to sort out (seems to be a bit of a thing). This summer is so crucial and the board have already p***ed half the summer up the wall. We never replaced Enzo’s fitness coach. We haven’t had a first team GK coach since Marti was sacked. We somehow STILL have Hughes on the staff. So frustrating.

The lessons haven’t been learnt from previous seasons, same idiots making the same idiotic mistakes. I genuinely believe that we could be in a relegation scrap again next season if things don’t start to turn around soon.
