Barnsley away. That's probably it.

Orient and Peterborough were great last time...........but that's it for me.

We do need to field a team though. Look at Sheff Weds when they have to rely on nothing but the youth team.

Some of them might even do so!

You make it sound like Rudkin is the club bouncer and there’s due diligence or foresight involved at this club…

We are in an extremely bizarre position considering the last 10 years that it feels like we won't have the massive big fish in small pond aura like we had in 2008/09. I doubt many opposition fans in League 1 will treat us with more respect than they treat current league 1 teams.

We’re not a big fish, we’re not even a small small fish, we’re a flimsy cardboard box!

There will be things to look forward to if we can see the back of King Power. It'll likely be as a consequence of administration (in my opinion) which may feel like it'll get worse before it gets better due to the lunacy of points deductions, which as Sheffield Wednesday are about to experience, they double down when no new buyer is willing to pay an unrealistic figure to the ex owner/s who caused administration in the first place.

However, if we do not see a change in ownership there is nothing tangible worth looking forward to. Aiyawatt has shown his complete disregard for righting the wrongs here, otherwise he'd have not promoted those who have been part of the major decline. Only a major shake up off the field could there have been any small chance of recovery, as he clearly needs help in running businesses, let alone football clubs. But that has been aggressively dismissed in these appointments a few months ago, bar the poor James McAaron who must be vastly regretting his life choices.

I said it what feels like an eternity ago, but will have been within the last couple of years, that we are just having to wait now until this harrowing period draws to a close. We are wasting time but unfortunately we don't have a fanbase with the appetite to voice their disgruntlement about our club. Seemingly prefer to let nature take it's cause and take each experience as it comes, whilst asking out loud what the Tigers score is.

I am so heart broken about my football club right now, I've been numb for a couple of years after it peaked in 2022 what we were on the precipice of. I went in to protection mode and the love and the hate was diluted as a result, to the point I have minimal reaction and emotion to every appalling decision from this club and every disgraceful mistake and performance. However, this week it has come back with a vengeance and hit me. Funnily enough when I saw Portsmouth go 2 nil up and you see their starting line up of 11 little known players who have handed Ipswich their harris's on a plate and solidified us in to oblivion. A team with professional pride, like Oxford too. Anxious and emotive about the high pressure situation of a relegation battle that sometimes will fall short but the effort and bravery often leads to what both team have shown on and off in these recent weeks. Not us, not fcukin us.

I can't think of any positives, because the thought of this lot trying to run this club in league 1 is scary, yes the thought of youngsters is appealing but do you really think this bunch of clowns will get it right.

Only thing I can think of is Hopefully, Braybrooke etc... get a chance in the team and we get a team of young players that care.

But probably won't happen, we'll sign lots of journeyman on free transfers.

when you put "LCFC" into a search engine, it will automatically default to Lincoln and Leicester. Not something to look forward to but will be quite funny for a bit until it becomes annoying!

Looking forward to the emergence and improvement of some of our "younger yet old enough to play 30+ games" academy players.

Players like Braybrooke, Aluko, Stolarcyzk, Alves, Page, Monga etc.

I am sure they would all thrive in a positive environment. We just have to pray to god that we're consistent and unrelenting in our pursuit to get rid of deadwood and willy pullers.

If we can fill in the gaps with some smart signings as well as bringing in clear leaders and role models then I do think we should come back up.

There are a lot of ifs to answer though.

Sad thing is, that could have (should have?) been this season in the Championship. They were all on our books in the prem and we were talking about giving them opportunities and gradually integrating them with the first squad, then we had that disaster of a season and got relegated (again) and despite being at a lower level, most of them haven't really had a chance here. Whether or not they would have been PL level is unclear, but they certainly cant have been worse than relegation-zone-championship standard.

The fact we need a second relegation to be in a position for them to actually get a chance is pretty depressing...

It’s being reported that Wednesday will start next season in EFL1 with a 15 points deduction.

This emphasises why I believe people need to be very careful when they are almost begging for Administration.

Let me explain . To exit Administration there has to BA an agreement with creditors to pay a% of the outstanding debts. The sum new owners are prepared to pay to buy Wednesday out will see just 6p in the £ but as a minimum it appears that it will have to be 15p in the £. Most of Wednesdays debts were to the ex owner.

To make up 15 points ain’t going to be easy

Wigan and Bolton round the corner for me i guess

Guessing you live in Lancashire (or now part of Greater Manchester depending on location) so either way, Wigan, one of Bolton/Stockport (and Salford may end up in League Two play offs). Bradford now too far away but also Huddersfield, Barnsley and Doncaster in Yorkshire.

For me all of those are really easy to get too. Plus Mansfield and I'm hoping Chesterfield or Notts County come up. Just a shame Rotherham, Port Vale and Northampton have gone down.

That is all I can think of as a positive, aside from that I'm lost as a third tier club. Sad.

No positivity for me until the ownership changes - even if we win the league next season, it will be cause we shouldn’t even be down there, and with these in charge will mean we’ve bought in overpaid players for the level again.

Change of ownership, change of transfer strategy and a clear intent to showcase our academy prospects and I’ll be looking to go down as often as possible. Until then I’ll head to Nomads for my football fix
