Feels a bit harsh that. Don’t get me wrong, they were absolutely honking on Tuesday. Probably the worst side I’ve seen us play. But he’s surely earned until November/December to try and turn it around?

Yeah. Considering what he has achieved and the players seeming to have over reached their level seems a very harsh decision

We sacked Ranieri half a year after he'd delivered our greatest ever achievement and stunned the football world in the process. We got loads of flak from fans of other clubs but it was the right call. If Bromley think this is the best thing for them to do to try to stay up, that's their call and good luck to them.

I agree to an extent but lets face it, every man and his dog knows that really it was Pearson who delivered that title to us. Now if he was still in charge and was sacked after he delivered the title to us then I think the uproar would have been significantly louder. The point is that Andy Woodman has got them quite far and should have been given a longer crack at league 1.

Is staying in League 1 really a do-or-die sutation for Bromley though?

Obviously nobody wants to go down but this bloke took Bromley to the 3rd round of the FA Cup and up to League 1 and won them the FA Trophy.

They are very much minnows and even in League 1 they stand out.

They won promotion in arguably the closest ever promotion/play off battle a division in the Football League has ever seen (won the league on 87 points, only 12 points clear of Swindon in 9th) so it's not like they blitzed League 2 and expected to kick on.

For me he had every right to see this season out and continue building Bromley. Even being a consistent top-end League 2 club would be a massive improvement on what they were doing before he came along.

Christ that’s harsh, essentially a free hit this season is and they’ve gone and done that.

Imagine Hinckley United got that high 15-20 years ago or Harborough Town now? Silly decision.

Seems harsh but they were only going in one direction. Shipping goals for fun.

Yes very harsh - when I looked at the oppo for the season in Lesgue 1 I was very surprised to see them there .
on the other hand they could have gone for 8 or 9 on Tuesday despite their keeper being far and away their best player

We were on a terrible run under Ranieri and he was given until February. Bromley have sacked a manager after 10 games when they're playing at this level for the first time and of those games they've played us, Sheffield Weds, Stockport and Huddersfield. Just seems too soon to me, I feel he'd earnt longer to try and turn it around.

Seem to remember a spell in the prem where it felt like every week managers were getting sacked just before or after our games, passing memory of laughing about this happening to Mourinho I think. How times have changed

I understand that it’s harsh, and I get that people won’t like it but as a club like bromley, this might be their only shot to stay here. If it’s not working surely they have to be objective season by season. It’s the natural progression of football.
