Could we go into Administration next season?

Sorry if already posted but was wondering if we could go into Administration next season, as we have already used up the last of our Parachute Payments in the form

of the bank loans?

This is from the April financial statement:

 

"The Directors have also considered the Club’s cashflow requirements in a severe but plausible scenario. Sensitivities considered in the forecasts included variances in finishing position, net player transfer spend and the non availability of future banking facilities. To cover the working capital needs of the Club in that scenario the Club has access to £10m remaining undrawn elements of a five year loan facility with King Power International in addition to an undrawn future share subscription agreement for 116m shares at £1 per share entered into on 21 April 2024 and amended on 4th April 2025 which can be further called on if necessary to support the Club’s cash flow in the unlikely event that all these negative events come to pass. Based on the above the Directors therefore have a reasonable expectation that the necessary funding will be available when required and the consolidated financial statements have therefore been prepared on a going concern basis."

 

Taken at face value, this would suggest we won't go into admin next season. How we fare after that if we remain in League One for a while is another matter....

With our mugs in charge I’d very much guess that their scenario planning did not include relegation - however, sounds like KP have £126m aside for us. I’d imagine that sees us through the next two seasons.

So I take it the "unlikely event " was relegation then ,which was a pretty certain outcome months before . Can't tops brother put funding  in as a board member?or any  of them really .We really do need to expand our outlook to further  our cash fow ,they need  outside  help surely.

Until we have a total rebuild of the mansion the club we are in big trouble. Top got to show some ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Next season is probably unlikely, but if we stay there or go down again, and a further points deduction is definitely feasible this coming season, then it is a real possibility.

 

I do think another relegation is a real possibility that cannot be discounted. Our squad is going to be in tatters and at best a few loans might be added by the end of the window, but many of those who end up staying we already know don’t want to be here. If they weren’t motivated enough to try in Championship, how much harder will they run for the cause in L1? 
 

Some rot will be gone, but will it be enough? I have my doubts. I certainly looks pretty unlikely that we will come straight back up.

Really it depends if Top wants to keep putting his hand in his pockets, as effectively the club is operationally insolvent.

No not next season but very real prospect the season after unless we sell multiple players for sizeable fees over next 12-24months

I don't really think him running the club so badly that he has to pump in millions of his own money to stop us going bust after successive relegations is any reason to look positively upon him
