It’ll be after the end of season review when they work out if this was to blame. And it won’t be. It’ll be something to do with the lack of clappers. Or fans leaving early resulting in conceding lots of late goals. Maybe a few of the honestly flags that were stolen and killed the atmosphere pre-kick off.

The club don't owe the supporters anything. Neither does the owner.

The fans are inconvenient critics.

Now be quiet and eat your free crisps.

AI on behalf of Top & Rudkin

To all Leicester City supporters,

This has been one of the most painful periods in our club’s recent history. The six‑point deduction imposed this season, and the resulting relegation, have brought deep disappointment, frustration, and anger. We understand those emotions completely, and today we want to address them directly.

First and foremost, we are sorry. Sorry for the position the club has found itself in. Sorry for the consequences that have followed. And sorry to every supporter who has had to endure a season defined by uncertainty, disruption, and ultimately, heartbreak.

While we may not agree with every aspect of the process that led to the deduction, we accept the outcome. As custodians of Leicester City Football Club, it is our responsibility to ensure that we operate within the regulations that govern the game. In this instance, we fell short of those expectations.

We want to be clear: the blame does not lie with the players, the staff, or the supporters. The responsibility rests with us — the leadership of this football club. We must do better, and we will do better.

Over the coming weeks, we will undertake a full and transparent review of our internal processes, financial governance, and decision‑making structures. This will include:

  • Strengthening compliance and oversight

  • Improving communication between football operations and senior management

  • Ensuring that future strategic decisions protect the long‑term stability of the club

  • Implementing reforms to prevent anything like this from happening again

Relegation hurts. It hurts all of us. But it does not define Leicester City. This club has faced adversity before and emerged stronger. We are determined to do the same again.

We remain fully committed to supporting the manager, the players, and the staff as we prepare for the challenge ahead. Our goal is clear: to rebuild, to restore pride, and to return Leicester City to the level where we belong.

To our supporters — thank you. Your loyalty, passion, and resilience are the heartbeat of this club. We will work tirelessly to earn back your trust.

We will learn. We will improve. And together, we will rise again.

At the same time I get a % refund on next years season ticket to cover the fact we are in L1.

I had mine the other week. I left my house one morning and Top was outside with a bunch of flowers and a teddy bear. I told him to do one but he's been bombarding me with phone calls and texts ever since. I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for him.

When do we think this will happen?

Considering this is what ultimately relegated us (yes I know we were rubbish anyway) and is 100% down to the management.

It's the least they could do.

apologise.....lol

that will never ever ever ever happen

I was thinking the other day I can't think of any player who has said sorry.  It's all messages like "disappointed", "not what we wanted", "fell short", "difficult season".  f' off.  How about I'm sorry I'm paid more than most championship squads and managed to get relegated.

The fact is that we had plenty of opportunities to get the required points even after the deduction was announced.

Remember the season had 46 games long.
