Yes, though the group winner if they continued to get through would play a QF at the Azteca, possibly against Mexico if they win their group. They’ve only lost something like two competitive games in their history there.

We need redemption at that stadium after Maradonnas hand of God in 86. Bring it on.

There are 12 group winners and 8 third place qualifiers so not guaranteed.

Literally is guaranteed that if we win the group we’ll get a 3rd place team 😂

First twenty of the second half was some of the best England football I can remember in about 30 years

First 20 of the 2nd half was on par with 5-1 against Germany, or 4-1 against Netherlands.

Manager is different gravy

The difference having an elite winning manager cannot be understated.

So we’d realistically be looking at Ecuador,  Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Algeria or DR Congo if we win the group.

Argentina have too much travel to do and an ageing defense. France are the major standouts, particularly if they win their group.

Southgate was great for the time and built this club dynamic, no chance he gets England playing that football tonight though. We needed a tactical, a world class manager to allow for that second half to happen

Anyway, Ayew leading the line for Ghana. Some proper forward play incoming.

Stones will be having nightmares

Have massive reservations regarding Tuchel’s setup if we play against the best and still don’t think he’s picked the right 26 but time will tell.

I don’t mind Kane dropping deep for one but he’s dropping far too deep for my liking.
