I was already fuming and then I just seen Peter Shilton’s face pop up congratulating Harry Kane on his 125th cap. He’s such an unpleasant man. I can imagine him berating his underpaid cleaner or sending his Steak back.

Not defending him because I think it’s gone beyond that. But once again his arrival was relatively late & the additions to the squad even later. I thought it’d take a whole lot longer than it has to get rid of the waste of previous years( a few exceptions) and so that is a major plus. 
that’s meant however, that we’ve had to rely on players who are good eg Alves, Braybrook but not yet good enough ( could well be different with a better coach)

So could it be that we just need a bit more time?

 

I don’t ythink so. I think he’s a fraud a bigger fraud than the others we seem to attract. BR beeing the biggest. I hate coming on here generally because of the negativity but I acknowledge just how hard it is to ‘keep the faith’. It’s depressing- it ruins my weekend and I can’t see a way out of this mess but Brussels clearly not helping.

I still find it darkly amusing that this thread was started around the time he was rumoured to be being appointed or thereabouts - yet here we are nearly on page 172 by early October, the season's started horrendously (far worse than I'd anticipated at any rate) and he's stiil not gone!

Yea, that's pretty terrifying. This is clearly their last role of the dice and they are in no way prepared for it going wrong - as it is doing... 🤦‍♂️

 

Even more concerning though was Rudkin's refusal to confirm or deny that the club was up for sale and his re-emphasis on Top's commitment to the club.

 

If that idiot child thinks he's going to snub any 'unacceptable' offers and attempt to quietly carry on business as usual, with the club indefinitely on the market waiting for his delusional sale price, he has another thought coming.

 

It may be time for the protests to re-escalate.

Hearing the way Martin and McCarron continue to love the possession game is like trying to argue with a flat-earther.  They can be faced with a mountain of evidence that it doesn’t work, but they won’t accept it.  When we eventually sack him (when it’s too late to help us in any way), I don’t think Martin will get another manager job.

They could have just referred to that though. They are essentially our assumptions. 

 

The words he used there make it sound just as likely to me that no acceptable deal has been forthcoming and that they are going to go silent on the issue on the wing and a prayer that the form turns, and therefore the protests never return by the time we realise a sale isn't going through, so he can then eventually claw the money back he wants once we are back in the promotion hunt.
