Sorry didn't realise they had both finished there careers and so there was a definitive answer on who was best

Do you have any idea on the injuries Kasey suffered during his latter teenage years ? No thought not

If you are trying to point score when it comes to Academy players then I kindly suggest you do a bit more research before spouting nonsense

Just pointing out that your cynicism is not always supported by reality.

Can be a massive club like Man Utd and be fast tracking a 15 year old and yet still lose them

That’s mad

the kid is incredible but that doesn’t mean he’ll make it if he loses focus and thinks it’s only about money.

wonder who has offered him a massive deal when he turns 17 ?

He is going back home. He has already been poached once in the academy system, no great surprise that it would happen again.

The system is a mess.

Sounds like his dad has been in his ear pushing for a move. I think the dollar signs have lit up his eyes and he thinks he should be on a 1st team salary/play time already.

True. But they also produce these guys much more often, create enormous revenues and the big clubs pinch young players off each other all the time.

I know he's an incredible talent but it's not really comparable for them losing him vs us losing Motsi for nothing. Sad realty.

Didn’t realise he’d been dragged up north aged 11

The father was a pro so shame he seems to be intent on treating the kid like a cash cow

From what I’ve been reading it sounds like his dad is absolutely insane.

Yeah I read some stuff earlier. Apparently pulled him out of a youth team because he went to a tournament and they didn’t give him the 10 shirt lol

Fire away with your examples as always willing to learn

I think the one I gave already makes my point.

Another one is I recall you saying that the reason Hutchinson hadn't stepped up to the u21s because he was only good for goals but when he made that step to the u21s a month or so later he got 4 assists in half a season.

We all have opinions but you present yours on the academy as factual when they are often not.

Needs a huge overhaul on academy system, I’m talking 50% sell on clauses for players with academies for 4+ years, a cap on wages of players up till the age of 18. No dodgy signing bonuses like their mum gets £200k a year for cleaning a flat etc. everyone that develops a player should truly benefit not just the big team that can afford to poach him when he suddenly is a potentially valuable player at 15 years old.

Not that I’m looking all the time but last few times I’ve seen Man City u21 teams on apps I haven’t even seen motsi or Monga in the squads?

Monga has gone on loan to Swansea

They've played three times since he arrived and he's not even made their bench.

But didn't he leave here because there was no pathway according to some lol

He'd probably be behind Alves if he was still here, but at least he'd get some minutes from the bench.

He's not even called JJ Gabriel...its essentially a rebrand of a more appealing "exotic" name. Most likely another idea from his dad, sounds like a weapon.

I think we'd have played Monga on the right had he stayed

It's probably for the best Monga left. He was acting like Mavididi v2.0 here, coasting through games completely disinterested. Now he's at Man City, he's going to learn some harsh truths.

Would have probably been him rather then one of Howell or Watson competing witj Alves and Burns for ethier wing spot.
