Genuinely bring these on. We'll shit 'em!

I don't think we'll get the opportunity tbqh.

As much fun as it would be, I just think they'll lose to Columbia or Switzerland in the quarters.  Both those teams will be too organised for them and certainly won't chuck it if they get in a winning position like Egypt did.

As much as we can bemoan the luck (if that's the right word) that Argentina had today, Egypt's tactics after they went 2 up were just abject.

Makes you wonder if the World Cup is rigged for certain teams - the pull on a shirt that ruled out Egypts original second goal is fine if you apply that to Argentina pulling shirts the other way

clearly it isn't

It was never in doubt @SpacedX wil call you a lunatic though

The difference between Argentina and Portugal is Portugal were playing to Ronaldo and going to his ego. Spain shut him out to 19 touches in the whole match.

Argentina play where they can play through Messi, but know if he sees a better option, hes not out for himself and will play it elsewhere. They are a better team with him in of course, but they arent a 1 man team as badly as Portugal.

Argentina are beatable though. 2 games they would have breezed before they have struggled in. They didnt shithouse that comeback though. They turn it on, they turn it ON!

England have Bellingham and Kane who we have built around. If anything its others in our team out for themselves, mostly on the wings.

As disappointed as I was with it being ruled out, that Egypt second one is definitely a foul in the build up. It's not so much the shirt pull he quite clearly stands on his foot.

Yeah I don't get why McCoist kept motoring on about his left arm pulling him when it's plain as day that Attia stands on Martinez's foot.

The Portugal midfield has also been extremely disappointing given their quality on paper. They lack physicality, for all their great technical players.

You just know if we play Argentina in the semi we'll get screwed over by the officials on the field or VAR. We never get any luck in big games against the top sides.

Uruguay on lead VAR  duties surely lol

That disallowed Egypt goal is why VAR is crap. Yes, it was a 'correct decision' by the rules as they now stand with VAR, but in the old days one of the best World Cup goals ever seen would have been allowed to stand. Either that or the ref would have seen the foul at the start of the move and blown up and the move would never have happened. Either of those would be better than ruling out a fantastic goal for something that happened ages before by the other goal line.

Wouldn't mind seeing an all south American tie so I'll take a Colombia win. Think this is the first time I've seen them in the tournament so not sure what to expect.

Apparently, they hate each other as well, so that'll add a bit of spice.
