FoxSince88 Posted Monday at 16:36 Posted Monday at 16:36 (edited) The word was Jakub didn’t want to return to Leicester and had something lined up in Poland, Seems that hasn’t come to fruition. Edited Monday at 16:37 by FoxSince88
RichardGearman Posted Monday at 16:50 Posted Monday at 16:50 Think i said this before on another thread but our priority is adding experience to this squad to help our youngsters bed into life as a senior footballer where they will be against professional shitkickers every week. Chaplin, Ings and McCarthy signings are cheap, booked for the short term accounts and will be useful both on and off the pitch. This is the reality of where we are as a football club and its exactly what pearson did back in League One. 2

moore_94 Posted Monday at 17:39 Posted Monday at 17:39 At least he wasn’t in goal for our 9-0 But he was for the Man Utd one

This. Albeit it limited evidence so far, Vieites seems more suited to Russelball, so if we are losing one to be replaced McCarthy as backup, think I would rather Stolarczyk be the one to move on.

It's got to be an agent thing hasn't it? It's inexplicable otherwise. Got to be an agent linked with Martyn Glover I'd suspect. Whole things looks dodgy to me. The whole thing is beyond a joke now. It's absolutely pathetic
surrifox Posted Monday at 20:03 Posted Monday at 20:03 Starting to think there’s some sort of Ted Lasso style plot to destroy this club
Tommy G Posted Monday at 20:09 Posted Monday at 20:09 Likely 3rd choice keeper - hardly a meltdown moment is it
5waller5 Posted Monday at 20:22 Posted Monday at 20:22 Such an odd signing if he is 3rd choice. A third choice keeper with our finances is a luxury we can’t afford (especially as emergency loans are allowed if no fit keeper available). If we do find it necessary to have one then surely sign a young prospect that can improve throughout the season and play the couple of games if required 2
Claudio Fannieri Posted Tuesday at 07:37 Posted Tuesday at 07:37 (edited) I have a feeling Stolarcryk will move on, I think he will have suitors in the championship and we could easily net £5m+ including bonuses etc If so Vietas as starting keeper with McCarthy as back up wouldn’t be a bad option. Plus he is a good solid pro so again makes sense, I have a feeling McCarthy, Ings and Chaplin have been identified as not only decent players for league one but also players who can come in as leaders of the group and reset what has been a disgrace of a senior leadership group. reminds me a lot of how Pearson operated, bring in his experienced leaders early days to help set standards and culture and then bring in the younger players around them. RowlattsFox Posted Tuesday at 07:42 Posted Tuesday at 07:42 I'd imagine Vietes is doing all he can to get a move. If something comes in for Jakub we will have to cash in but I don't think he's done enough for someone from the championship to come in for him, not as first choice anyway. 1

I don't see anyone paying 5m, think we would be lucky to get 1-2m. But it pure profit so the club will be interested. 2

Since then, he has a year left not 2, and his stock has dropped, even though I hold the senior players responsible much more than the younger players like Stolarcryk and Nelson who were having there breakout seasons. Similarly to Nelson, with Jakub, it seems very much a case of take a nominal fee (probably no more than £2 mill for either) or lose for free.

Base fee I don’t see us getting more than £2-2.5m but with appearances and promotion bonuses could easily hit £5m In total for a player who is still relatively young and with potential.
AKCJ Posted Tuesday at 09:09 Posted Tuesday at 09:09 It's like we watched Liverpool buy the likes of Lovren, Mane, Lallana, Van Dijk, Lambert and Clyne and thought "this must be how it's done".
