I've watched a fair bit of Saints cos of my father in law - Bazunu is the worst goalkeeper I've ever watched, surely the worst shot-stopper. Mental that Saints kept starting him.

This is the part of it I can't understand. He played in spite of Martin at Southampton. The laughably bad Bazanu could apparently play out so Martin stuck with him relentlessly despite all the data. Then he got injured and he was forced to play McCarthy. 

 

If it's to do the Begovic role then fair enough but I still find it bizarre.
